FCI Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for FCI 2023 are required to know in order to determine if you are qualified to apply for the positions that are being offered. FCI Age Limit

The Food Corporation of India has established a specific age requirement in order to be qualified for the Junior Engineer, Assistant Grade 3, Stenographer, Typist, and Watchman positions and also for manager posts, For each post in the Food Corporation of India Recruitment, there is a different upper age limit for applicants, and the minimum age requirement to apply is 18 years old.

FCI Age Relaxation

Candidates who fall under one of the different categories are given an age relaxation, according to the upper age limits established by the FCI Board. Below is the information for various categories.

- Women Judicially Separated: Upper age 38 years for Other Backward Caste
- Remarried/ Widows/ Divorced Women: Upper age 40 years for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe
- Scheduled Caste: Up to 5 Years
- Scheduled Tribe: Up to 5 Years
- Other Backward Caste: Up to 3 Years
- Ex-servicemen: The upper age limit will be lowered as of the cutoff date by allowing the length of actual military service to be subtracted from the individual’s actual age.
- Person With Disability

For General: Up to 10 Years
Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe: 15 years
Other Backward Caste: 13 years

Educational Qualification

For each position with the FCI, a different educational background is required. The educational requirements for all of the FCI positions are listed in the table below.

Posts	Minimum Educational Requirements & Experience
Watchman	For consideration for the position of the watchman, the applicant must have completed eighth grade. The position of watchman requires no prior experience. Typists must be between the ages of 18 and 28 to work for FCI.
Stenographer	An “O” level qualification and graduation from any discipline are prerequisites OR Computer science or computer application degree Additionally, the candidate must be able to type and shorthand at a speed of 40 WPM and 80 WPM, respectively. For the position of stenographer, no experience is necessary. For FCI, stenographers must be between 18 and 25 years old.
Typist	Graduation from any field of study. Words Per Minute: 30 The ability to type quickly in Hindi is necessary for the position of Typist. Computer literacy and bilingual Hindi and English typing skills are highly preferred. The position of Typist does not require any prior experience. Typists must be between the ages of 18 and 25 to work for FCI.
Junior Engineer	The applicant must hold a degree or diploma in an appropriate engineering stream. In addition, Diploma holders must have at least one year of experience. Junior engineers for FCI must be between the ages of 18 and 28.
Assistant Grade 3 ( Accounts, Depot, Technical)	For Depot positions, a degree in any field and computer proficiency are required. For posts in accounting, a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) and computer skills are required. B.Sc. with a concentration in any one of the following fields: agriculture, botany, zoology, biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, or food science. For the position of Assistant Grade 3, prior experience is not required. For FCI, the age range for Assistant Grade 3 is between 18 and 27.
Manager (Hindi)	a master’s degree in Hindi from an accredited institution of higher learning, or an equivalent, with university-level English as a subject. OR a Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a degree-level subject from an accredited university or its equivalent
Manager (Civil Engineering)	A reputable university-issued civil engineering bachelor’s degree or an equivalent credential is required.
Manager (Electrical, Mechanical Engineering)	Electrical engineering or mechanical engineering degree from recognised university or equivalent is required.
Manager (Technical)	A recognised university-issued B.Sc. in Agriculture or B.Tech. in Food Science, Agriculture Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, etc.
Manager (General)	A minimum grade point average of 60% and a graduate degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited university are prerequisites.
Manager (Depot)	A graduate degree from an accredited university, or its equivalent, must have a minimum GPA of 60%.
Manager (Movement)	having earned a graduate degree from an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 60%.
Manager (Accounts)	A candidate needs to be an official ICAI member.

FCI Experience And No.of Attempts

For the positions of Assistant Grade 3, Stenographer, Typist, and Watchman, applicants are not required to have any specific work experience in order to be eligible to sit for the FCI Recruitment Examination 2023. As long as the candidate meets the age requirement, there are no restrictions on taking the FCI Recruitment Examination. Candidates may submit an application for the FCI Recruitment examination if they meet the eligibility requirements.
