IBPS Clerk Selection Process: Preliminary Examination

The first stage in the selection process is the Preliminary Examination (Prelims). This online exam includes three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates must score above the minimum cutoff in each section to qualify for the Mains Examination. Although Prelims scores do not count towards the final selection, passing this exam is essential to move on to the next stage.

IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk 2024 exam pattern remains unchanged. The Mains Exam consists of 190 questions to be answered in 160 minutes. Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both Online Preliminary and Online Main examinations): There will be a penalty for incorrect answers in the Objective Type Tests. For each wrong answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted from the total score. If a question is left blank with no answer marked, no penalty will be applied.
