The candidates who are planning to appear for the IBPS SO 2024 Exam must know the complete IBPS SO selection process for better preparation. The exam conducting authority- the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has framed a selection process to shortlist candidates for the Specialist Officer post. The IBPS SO 2024 selection process includes three phases of the exam, i.e. Preliminary exam, the Main exam, and the Interview round. The aspirants must qualify for all these three stages to get selected for recruitment.

IBPS SO Selection Process is conducted to select candidates for posts of IBPS SO for different disciplines such as I.T. Officer (Scale-I), Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I), Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I), Law Officer (Scale I), HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I) and Marketing Officer (Scale I) posts. IBPS SO Selection Process – Interview
- Candidates who will successfully clear the IBPS SO prelims and mains examination will be called for the interview round based on the marks obtained by them.
- The interview round consists of 100 marks in total.
- The minimum qualifying marks in the IBPS SO Interviews will not be less than 40%Â (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
IBPS SO Provisional Allotment
- Candidates will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating organizations of IBPS, based on the available vacancies and merit-cum-preference basis.
- In case 2 or more candidates obtain the same score in the exam, the merit would be decided based on the date of birth of the candidate.
