The Mains exam pattern consists of 5 subjects and each has separate timing and maximum marks as shown below. Note that there is a negative marking of 0.25 mark and there is no sectional cut off.

Important Instructions for NIACL Assistant Mains Exam

Candidates appearing for the NIACL Assistant Mains Exam 2025 must follow these crucial guidelines to ensure a smooth examination experience:

• Documents to Carry: Admit Card, Photo ID Proof: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport, and Photograph – Carry two passport-sized photographs (same as uploaded in the application form).
• Items NOT Allowed in the Exam Hall:  Electronic devices like mobile phones, smartwatches,  calculators, or any communication gadgets. Study materials, books, notebooks, or any written notes.
• Exam Timing & Reporting: Arrive at the exam center at least 30-45 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on your admit card.  Entry gates will close after the reporting time—latecomers will not be allowed inside.
• Follow the instructions given by exam invigilators at all times.
• The exam will be conducted online (CBT mode). Read each question carefully before answering. Avoid multiple clicks to prevent system lag or errors.
