Given below are the general eligibility criteria for the post of Odisha Fireman and Fireman Driver post. Candidates need to meet the following requirements as mentioned by the Commission in the official notification.

1. In order to be eligible for direct recruitment, a candidate must be a citizen of India
2. He/She is of a good moral character and he should not have been convicted for any criminal offense.
3. He/She be of sound health and physique and free from any organic defect or body infirmity.
4. He/She is able to speak, read, and write Odia.

Odisha Fireman Age Limit

Odisha Fireman Age Limit: For the Odisha Fireman and Fireman Driver and other posts, candidates must have attained the age of 18 years and should not be more than 25 years old as of 1st January 2023. The upper age limit with respect to the reserved category of candidates shall be relaxed in accordance with the provisions of the Act, rules, orders, or instructions, for the time being in force, for their respective categories.

Odisha Fireman Qualification

For the Odisha Fireman Educational qualification, candidates need to have:

1. Passed Higher Secondary Examination Certificate (10+2) conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, or any other equivalent examination conducted by any other recognized Board or Council.
2. Passed M.E. School or Higher Examinations with Odia language as a subject;
3. Passed H.S.C. or equivalent examinations with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subjects;
4. For the driver post, candidates need to have a Heavy driving license.
