Steps to Apply for OSSC Excise SI Recruitment 2024

Candidates can go through the OSSC Excise SI notification for a detailed understanding of DOs and Don’t while applying for the OSSC Excise SI Online Application. The OSSC Excise SI online application form can be filled out and submitted by following these steps:

1. Go to the Official website of OSSC at www.ossc.gov.in
2. Click on the “Apply Online” button
3. If it is the first time, then click on the “New User” button for Registration

OSSC Excise Sub Inspector Eligibility

The candidates are required to check their eligibility for the exam before applying. If the candidates are found to have tempered the eligibility requirements then their application and selection will be rejected.

OSSC Excise SI Educational Qualification

1. The candidates for the OSSC Excise SI exam must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in any stream from any national and state-recognized University or Equivalent.
2. The candidates should be able to read, write, and speak Odia language.

OSSC Excise SI Age Limit Criteria

As per the OSSC Excise SI notification, the age limit to apply for the post is 21- 32 years as on 1st January 2023. The age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women Category is 5 years and for Ex-servicemen it is according to the period of their service. However, PWD candidates are not eligible for this post. 

OSSC Excise Sub Inspector Selection Process 2024

The Candidates are required to know the OSSC Excise SI exam pattern for a complete and smart preparation strategy. The OSSC Excise SI Exam pattern is given below. The OSSC Excise Sub-Inspector Examination process includes these 3 Stages:

1. Written Exam
2. PMT and PET
3. Certificate Verification

OSSC Excise SI Written Exam Pattern 2024

1. The OSSC written exam will be 150 marks
2. No. of Questions: 150
3. There shall be a negative marking @0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate. 
4. The duration of the examination will be 180 mins.

OSSC Excise SI Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

The Physical measurement test will be conducted for those candidates who will clear the OSSC Excise SI written examination. This is the middle stage between the Witten exam and PET. Candidates need to qualify PMT in order to get selected for PET Stage.

OSSC Excise SI Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates are required to qualify the PMT stage to be selected for the PET Process. After clearing PET, the candidates will be called for an Interview which is the final stage of the OSSC Excise Sub-Inspector Recruitment Process.
