RBI Assistant Selection Process 2025

The RBI Assistant 2025 has three phases that the candidates need to clear to qualify for the recruitment process. The detailed selection process has been mentioned below.

Phase I: Preliminary Examination
This initial phase includes an online examination for a total of 100 marks which tests the candidates on the basis of their knowledge in English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. It has a total of 100 questions and a negative marking of 0.25 marks.

Phase II: Main Examination
The RBI Assistant Mains exam consists of 200 questions, with each correct answer awarding 1 mark. Be cautious, as there is a penalty of 1/4th of a mark for each incorrect answer. The exam is conducted online, and candidates will have 135 minutes to complete it. Additionally, it’s important to note that there is a minimum score requirement for each section of the main exam, so meeting these sectional cut-offs is crucial for overall success.

Phase III: Language Proficiency Test
The final phase assesses candidates’ proficiency in local language of the state they have selected. It is designed solely to verify their proficiency in the required language and is not scored like the other exams.
