RBI Grade B CGPA to Percentage Conversion Criteria
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has mentioned that some universities provide grading systems in percentage whereas some provide it in the form of CGPA/OGPA/CPI out of 10. If you have your degree marks in percentage then the same will be accepted but if it’s the other way, then candidates have to convert it into CGPA.
If a University/Institute/Board has specified a method for converting Aggregate Grade Points into percentage marks, that method will be followed. However, if the University/Institute/Board hasn’t provided such criteria in the degree/passing certificates, the conversion will be calculated as follows:
Equivalent CGPA/OGPA/CPI or similar terminologies allotted on a 10-point scale | Aggregate Percentage |
---|---|
6.75 | 60% |
6.25 | 55% |
5.75 | 50% |
RBI Grade B 2024 Proof of Identity
When attending Phase-I or Phase-II of the RBI Grade B 2024 examination, candidates must present a valid photo identity card in both original and photocopy forms, in addition to their Admit Card. Acceptable photo IDs include a PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, Voter’s Card, Bank Passbook with a photograph, photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer or a People’s Representative on official letterhead, a valid recent identity card from a recognized college or university, e-Aadhar card, Aadhar card with a photograph, Employee ID, or a Bar Council Identity card with a photograph. The candidate’s identity will be verified against the details on the Admit Card, the Attendance List, and the submitted documents.
Is there Any Prior Experience Required to Work with RBI?
Yes, this is a very important question in the mind of those who have just cleared their Degree Exams. This is a general question because the RBI Grade B Examination and its reputation have gained momentum for only 3-4 years. Before that, only a few people knew about it, and therefore, there was less knowledge. But not anymore! It is good news for the freshers that applying for the RBI Grade B post does not require any experience before it.
Even in its official notification, RBI mentions that fresher candidates are welcome to apply for the post as RBI wants to gauge the fresh talent in its management operation. So, don’t hesitate to apply if you are new to it.
RBI Grade B Eligibility 2024 Number of Attempts
The next most important question is how many attempts are allowed to candidates. So, to answer that, candidates from the General Category/Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) who have participated in the Phase-I Examination for this post on six previous occasions, as administered by the Reserve Bank of India Services Board are ineligible to apply.
However, candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) face no such restriction if the posts are reserved for their respective categories.
Category | Number of Attempts |
General | 6 |
SC/ST/OBC/PWD | No Limit |
CGPA to Percentage Conversion Criteria by RBI
If a university specifies guidelines for converting grades into percentage marks, those guidelines will be followed. However, if the university does not provide such guidelines, the following calculation method will be employed:
CGPA | Aggregate Percentage of Marks |
---|---|
6.75 | 60% |
6.25 | 55% |
5.75 | 50% |
