RPF Recruitment 2024: Exam Dates for Constable and SI, Exam Pattern

This year the Railway Police Force (RPF) announced a total of 4660 vacancies, in which they will recruit 4208 Constable and 452 Sub Inspector. This is a big opportunity for the candidates who want to build their career in government jobs, especially in Indian railway. The online application process for RPF concludes on 14th May 2024.

After this, candidates must be waiting for the release of the RPF Exam Date 2024. The officials haven’t made any official announcement yet for the RPF Exam date. However, we can expect that the RPF Exam 2024 for Constable and SI posts will be held in September 2024. The admit card for the same will be released a few days before the scheduled exam date at https://rpf.indianrailways.gov.in/.

RPF Vacancy 2024 For Constable and SI Post

The Railway Recruitment Board has notified the 4208 vacancies for the Constable post and 452 vacancies for the SI post. The category-wise distribution for both vacancies has been shared in the table below. Note that The vacancies for Ex-Service Men and Females remaining unfilled for want of suitable Ex-Service Men and Females during recruitment shall be filled up by a suitable Male candidate as per existing guidelines.

RPF Constable and SI Eligibility Criteria 2024

You must be looking for eligibility criteria for both posts before applying. It is mandatory to ensure that you are eligible for the SI or Constable post before proceeding further. The Railway Recruitment Board has prescribed the age limit, educational qualification, physical measurements, and nationality for that purpose.

The SI Eligibility Criteria is different from the Constable post. Candidates must have completed their Graduation from a recognized board, university, or institution in any stream. RPF Constable Selection Process 2024

The RPF (Railway Protection Force) recruitment typically includes multiple stages to assess candidates for various positions, such as Constables and Sub-Inspectors. Here is the selection process for Constable in an order.

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Phase I: Initial online exam covering General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence, and Reasoning.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – Phase II: Qualified candidates from CBT undergo activities like running, long jump, and high jump. Physical standards vary by post.
3. Document Verification: Candidates provide the necessary documents to confirm eligibility.
4. Medical Examination: Successful candidates from document verification undergo a medical check to meet the required standards.
5. Final Merit List: Ranking based on performance in CBT, PET, PMT, and document verification.

RPF Constable and SI Exam Pattern 2024

To be selected for an RPF constable or SI post, you must pass a computer-based online exam. The following is the RPF Constable 2024 Exam Pattern 2024.

1. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.
2. The duration of the exam is 90 Minutes (1 Hour 30 Mins).
3. The Exam shall be computer-based and questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type.
4. The difficulty level of the questions for the Constable post will be as per class 10th (Matriculation).
5. The difficulty level of the questions for the SI post will be Graduation.

RPF Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 2024

The candidates are required to possess the minimum Physical Standards for the SI and Constable posts as mentioned in the table below.

Document Verification

The final stage of selection will be the document verification round. Candidates who will clear all the stages will reach the DV round. In this round, the documents of the candidates like mark sheets, caste certificates, NOC Letters, and other important documents will be checked. Candidates who fail to produce the required documents as per the stated date will be disqualified.
