RRB NTPC CBAT Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025
The RRB NTPC Psychometric Test consists of five sections: the Intelligence Test, which assesses logical reasoning; the Selective Attention Test, evaluating focus and attention to detail; the Spatial Analysis Test, testing spatial reasoning skills; the Information Ordering Test, which measures the ability to arrange information logically; and the Personality Test, designed to understand a candidate’s behavioural traits and emotional stability. RRB NTPC CBAT Exam Pattern 2025
The Psychological examination is the third stage of the NTPC exam and consists of five sub-tests. To pass, candidates must score a minimum T-Score of 42 in each test (except for the Personality Test), regardless of their category. The CBAT will be available in both English and Hindi, and it will not have negative markings. The exam will include 165 questions and last for 82 minutes. RRB NTPC Psycho Test Syllabus 2025

Intelligence Test
The Intelligence Test assesses the candidate’s ability to identify differences in pictures. The question will present 5 images, with 4 being identical, and the candidate must identify the one that is different. This section contains 35 questions, with a total time of 10 minutes to answer them. Candidates will have a 1-minute break between each section, and there is no negative marking. Additionally, candidates are given 5 minutes to read the instructions before starting this section.
Selective Attention Test
The Selective Attention Test requires candidates to identify the sum of odd numbers from a set of numbers. This section consists of 30 questions, and candidates have 8 minutes to complete it. A 1-minute gap is provided between this section and the next, and candidates are also allotted 5 minutes to read the instructions beforehand.
Spatial Scanning Test or Spatial Analysis
The Spatial Scanning Test, also known as Spatial Analysis, evaluates the candidate’s ability to find the shortest route between two points, represented by alphabets, with barriers shown as circles. This section includes 40 questions spread across 4 figures, with 10 questions per figure. The total time for this section is 8 minutes, and candidates are given 5 minutes to read the instructions. A 1-minute break will follow this section before moving on to the next.
Information Ordering Test
This section tests the candidate’s ability to follow information and instructions accurately. Candidates will be given two tables along with various test figures, and instructions will ask them to add or subtract an “X” sign. The Information Ordering Test contains 25 questions, with a time limit of 10 minutes. There is a 1-minute break at the end of the section.
Personality Analysis Test
The Personality Analysis Test is designed to assess a candidate’s personality and ability to make quick decisions under pressure. There are no right or wrong answers in this section. Candidates are given 12 minutes to attempt the section, and it contains 25 questions, with an additional 5 minutes to read the instructions before beginning.
