Any candidate applying for SBI PO exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the State Bank of India which includes specific age limit and educational qualification. SBI PO Age Limit (As on 1/4/2024)
The minimum age limit to apply for the SBI PO 2025 examination is 21 years to 30 years old at the time of registration. Candidates must have been born between 02.04.1994 and 01.04.2003, inclusive of both dates. Besides this, there is age relaxation relevant to category-wise candidates as per the government norms for SBI PO.
SBI PO Nationality
- The candidates must hold Indian Citizenship
- A Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
- A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, or Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
Note: Candidates belonging to categories 2, 3, and 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favor if willing to apply for SBI PO 2025.
SBI PO Qualification (As on 30/4/2025)
- A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
- Final Year/Semester candidates can also apply only if they produce proof of their graduation on the date of the interview.
SBI PO Selection Process 2025
The SBI PO Selection Process 2025 involves three phases which the candidates need to qualify for the final recruitment. The Prelims and Mains exam are both online exams which is conducted to assess the knowledge of the candidates.
- Prelims: Qualifying round; marks not added to the final merit list. Top 10x the vacancies (approx.) shortlisted for Mains.
- Main: Category-wise merit list prepared based on Mains marks. Top 3x the vacancies (approx.) shortlisted for Group Exercise & Interview.
- Group Discussion & Interview: This stage includes a Psychometric Test for personality profiling. Final stage includes Group Exercise and Interview, with marks combined with Mains to determine final selection.

SBI PO Exam Pattern 2025 covers two phases for online exams, Prelims and mains which will be followed by an interview. The structure of the examination has been revised this year, which includes the number of questions, total marks, sections, and the duration of the examination.

- This will have 3 sections and each section will have to be completed in 20 Minutes.
- The total marks of the SBI PO Prelims Exam are 100 Marks while the duration of the exam is 1 Hour.
- There is no sectional cut off.
- There will be a penalty of 0.25 Marks for every incorrect answer.
