The candidates willing to apply Probationary Officer posts must ensure that they fulfil the minimum SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2024. The eligibility criteria are different for different positions for which the candidates are selected through the SBI PO 2024 Exam. Three main parameters of SBI PO Eligibility include nationality, age limit and educational qualification on which a candidate is judged to be eligible for the SBI PO Exam. SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2024

SBI PO Nationality

A candidate willing to apply for SBI PO 2024 must be from one of the below-listed categories:

1. The candidates must hold Indian Citizenship
2. A Subject of  Nepal or  Bhutan
3. A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
4. A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India

SBI PO Educational Qualification

As per the SBI PO Educational Qualification, the candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government. Final-year/semester students may apply on a provisional basis, provided they can present proof of their graduation if selected for an interview.

SBI PO Age Limit

The candidate must be 21 Years to 30 Years i.e. candidates must be below 21 years and should be below 30 Years. This is in case of General category candidates.

SBI PO Eligibility: Number of Attempts

The SBI has established certain guidelines regarding the number of attempts allowed for the SBI PO 2024 examination. These guidelines are designed to ensure fairness in the selection process and to give candidates a reasonable number of opportunities to compete for the prestigious role of a Probationary Officer. Here’s an overview of the SBI PO number of attempts:

General/EWS Category Candidates: Generally, candidates belonging to the general category are allowed 4 number of attempts to appear for the SBI PO examination.

Reserved Category Candidates: For Candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC (Scheduled Castes), ST (Scheduled Tribes), there is no attempt limit.

OBC/PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) Candidates: PwBD candidates have 7 attempts and age relaxation as per the government guidelines and the specific provisions outlined in the official SBI PO notification.

Validity of Attempts:

• The number of attempts is generally counted from the year when the candidate first appears for the SBI PO exam. If a candidate exceeds the allowed number of attempts, they may not be eligible to apply for the examination in subsequent years.

SBI PO Percentage Criteria 2024

When filling out the application form for the SBI PO exam, applicants can comply to the SBI PO Percentage Criteria, as marks are evaluated based on this. Candidates with a CGPA or OGPA must convert their grades into percentages for consideration.

While candidates with a graduation percentage below 60% are still eligible to apply, it is important to note that the calculated percentage will be rounded down; for instance, 59.99% will be considered less than 60%, and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

1. Educational certificates will be required for submission at the document verification stage and even the application stage to verify particular details.
2. Proof of age is mandatory to be provided by each candidate at the time of application, it can be a birth certificate or an educational certificate.
3. Certificates for candidates applying under certain categories like OBC/ST/SC etc. will also be required for the application.
