SSC GD Constable Exam 2025 Highlights, Know Complete Details

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is conducting the SSC GD Constable Exam 2025 on national level for 39481 General Duty Constable vacancies. This exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates in Indian Paramilitary forces such as BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, NCB, and SSF. This recruitment exam gives opportunity to lakhs of candidates to give their best and get a Government Job and secure a stable future. SSC GD Constable Exam Details

SSC opened the online portal in September 2024 to receive applications from eligible candidates and the last date to apply was 14th October 2024. It is notable that 52,69,500 candidates applied this year. After that application status for all 9 regions was released to inform the candidates whether applications have been rejected or accepted. Only candidates whose applications are accepted can appear for the exam.

The selection process for Constable post includes Computer Based Test, PET/PST, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

Currently, SSC is conducting the Computer Based Exam for SSC GD Constable post which started from 4th February 2025 and it is going to be conducted till 25th February 2025. The admit card and exam city slip for the exam is now available on the official website of SSC at www.ssc.gov.in and candidates can download it by logging in with Registration ID and Password.

SSC GD Exam is online and it features multiple choice based (MCQ) questions. Here, is the description of the online exam:

• The total number of questions are 80
• Total marks is 160
• The duration is 1 hour.
• There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
• Sections to be prepared for SSC GD Exam are General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, English/ Hindi.

SSC GD Answer Key and Result 2025: After SSC is done conducting the CBT, the Commission will release the provisional Answer key and response sheet by the end of February 2025 through which candidates can assess their performance. After the receiving objections (if any) from candidates and after consideration by SSC, a final answer key will be released.

Those who want to know about the expected result date, the SSC GD Result 2025 will be released in April 2025 on the official website of SSC and those qualify online exam will appear for Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test which is conducted to assess the physical strength of the candidates.
