The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test to assess applicants’ physical capabilities. Only those applicants who pass the written exam go to the second selection round, the SSC GD PET & PST. The Physical Standard Test (PST) and the Physical Endurance Test (PET) are two phases. Those who pass this stage will be recruited by different paramilitary groups as General Duty Constables. The SSC GD Physical Test requirements for male and female applicants are below.
SSC GD Physical Test Date 2025
The SSC GD Result 2025 will be released in April 2024, and the Physical Test will be conducted afterwards. So, it is expected to be held within a few days after the result is released. Applicants who pass the exam will be called for the in-person exam. The official will reveal the SSC GD Physical Test date soon.
SSC GD Physical Test 2025
Qualified applicants must pass the national SSC GD test to fill the post of General Duty Constable in different paramilitary forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, NCB and SSF. As determined by the SSC GD Physical Test, candidates must be physically fit to perform tasks such as sprinting, long jumping, and high jumping. SSC GD Physical Standard Test
The purpose of the qualifying SSC GD Physical Standard Test is to determine whether the candidates who have been shortlisted match the required physical requirements, which include chest measures, weight, and height. The SSC GD PST 2025 is different for male and female candidates. We have included a thorough description of each physical standard exam here.
SSC GD PST Height Requirements
Candidates must be at least the required height to pass the SSC GD Constable exam. It differs according to the category and gender of the candidate.
- General and OBC Male- 170 cm
- General and OBC Female- 157 cm
SSC GD Height Standards Relaxations Category-wise

SSC GD PST Chest Measurements
According to the official announcement, female candidates do not need to meet any chest requirements. However, male candidates must fulfil the SSC GD PST chest requirement to move on in the recruiting procedure. Below is a table detailing the SSC GD chest size categories for male candidates.

SSC GD Physical Endurance Test
The commission will conduct the SSC GD Physical Endurance Test following the PST test. Male and female candidates experience it differently. This section contains information about the SSC GD Physical Test, including the several tasks that applicants need to complete to move on to the next round.
- The SSC GD Physical Running Time for Male Candidates is five kilometres in 24 minutes.
- In 8.5 minutes, the female candidates for the SSC GD Physical Running Event will cover 1.6 kilometres.

SSC GD Medical Exam
Those who pass the physical examination will be invited to the SSC GD medical examination. The Medical Officer will conduct it, and the requirements that applicants must meet to advance to this level are listed below.
