The following is the breakdown of the two examination stages:
1. UPPSC Staff Nurse Prelims Exam Pattern
1. There will be 170 questions overall, worth a total of 85 points.
2. As a penalty, one-third (0.33) of the marks allotted to that question will be subtracted for each incorrect response.
3. The same negative marking will be applied if a candidate chooses several answers.

2. UPPSC Staff Nurse Mains Exam Pattern
- There will be two descriptive parts to the main examination.
- The exam will last for three hours (3 hours).
- The exam will be held for 85 marks.
Part A: Five descriptive questions, each worth five marks (125 words maximum).
Part B will include 6 questions, of which 4 must be answered. Each question carries 15 marks, with a word count cap of 300.
