Oscar Awards 2023: 95-ാമത് അക്കാദമി അവാർഡുകൾ 2023 മാർച്ച് 12-ന് ലോസ് ഏഞ്ചൽസിലെ ഓവേഷൻ ഹോളിവുഡിലെ ഡോൾബി തിയേറ്ററിൽ നടന്നു. ചലച്ചിത്ര മേഖലയിലെ മികച്ച നേട്ടങ്ങളെ ആദരിക്കുന്ന വാർഷിക അവാർഡ് ചടങ്ങാണ് ഓസ്കാർ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന അക്കാദമി അവാർഡസ്. 1929 മെയ് 16 ന് ഹോളിവുഡിലെ റൂസ്‌വെൽറ്റ് ഹോട്ടലിൽ വെച്ചായിരുന്നു ആദ്യത്തെ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് ചടങ്ങ് നടന്നത്. ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും അംഗീകൃത പുരസ്കാരമാണ് ഓസ്കാർ പ്രതിമ (Oscar Statuette). ചലച്ചിത്രനിർമ്മാണ മേഖലയിലെ നേട്ടത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമാണ് ഓസ്കാർ പ്രതിമ (Oscar Statuette).

1927-ൽ അക്കാദമി ഓഫ് മോഷൻ പിക്ചർ ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് സയൻസസ് സംയോജിപ്പിച്ചതിന് തൊട്ടുപിന്നാലെ, പുതിയ സംഘടനയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ ചർച്ച ചെയ്യാനായി ലോസ് ഏഞ്ചൽസിലെ ബൽറ്റ്മോർ ഹോട്ടലിലെ ക്രിസ്റ്റൽ ബോൾറൂമിൽ ഒരു മീറ്റിംഗ് നടന്നു. ആ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളിലൊന്ന് മികച്ച നേട്ടങ്ങളെ ആദരിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു പ്ലാറ്റഫോം ആവിഷ്കരിക്കുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു, അതിലൂടെ ചലചിത്ര നിർമ്മാണത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും ഉയർന്ന നിലവാരം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിയും.
