ଭାରତର ସମ୍ବିଧାନ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଭାରତରେ କୌଣସି ଜାତୀୟ ଭାଷା ନାହିଁ ବରଂ ସରକାରୀ ଭାଷା ଭାବରେ ହିନ୍ଦୀ ଏବଂ ଇଂରାଜୀ ରହିଛି। ଭାରତୀୟ ସମ୍ବିଧାନର ଅଷ୍ଟମ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟସୂଚୀ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ, ସମୁଦାୟ 22 ଟି ଅନୁସୂଚିତ ଭାଷା ଅଛି ଯାହା ବିଭିନ୍ନ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ବହୁଳ ଭାବରେ କଥିତ |ଏହା 28 ଟି ରାଜ୍ୟ ଏବଂ 8 ଟି ୟୁନିଅନର ଏକ ସଂଘ ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ରାଜ୍ୟ ନିଜର ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ନିଜର ଐତିହ୍ୟ ଉପଭାଷା ସହିତ ପ୍ରତିନିଧିତ୍ୱ କରନ୍ତି | 

History

ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ପୂର୍ବରୁ, ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷା ସମସ୍ତ ସରକାରୀ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ ସ୍ତରରେ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହେଉଥିଲା, ଯଦିଓ, ହିନ୍ଦୀ ଏବଂ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଦୁକୁ ଇଂରାଜୀ ସହିତ ସରକାରୀ ଭାଷା ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚନା କରାଯାଉଥିଲା | 1950 ମସିହାରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଭାରତ ସମ୍ବିଧାନ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ ଦେବନାଗରୀ ସ୍କ୍ରିପ୍ଟରେ ହିନ୍ଦୀକୁ ଭାରତର ସରକାରୀ ଭାଷା ଭାବରେ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତି ଦେଲା। 2001 ଜନଗଣନାରେ, ଭାରତରେ 422 ନିୟୁତ ଲୋକ ହିନ୍ଦୀକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ମାତୃଭାଷା ଭାବରେ ରିପୋର୍ଟ କରିଥିଲେ।
