What after AILET 2025 Second Merit List 2025
After the release of the AILET 2025 merit list, candidates can exercise the seat freeze option by paying the admission fees. As the AILET 2025 second merit list is published, candidates whose names are included must take the following steps to confirm their admission:
Step 1: Counselling Registration- Candidates appearing on the second merit list will receive invitations to register for the online counselling procedure. This phase is essential for applicants to engage in the seat allotment procedure. Fee for the Online Counselling Registration category-wise is given below:
- General/KM: ₹. 30,000
- ST/SC/OBC/EWS/PwD groups: Rs. 20,000
The counselling fee needs to be paid prior to the stated deadline, using digital payment options like credit/debit cards, UPI, or net banking. Payments through alternative methods will not be accepted.
Step 2: Document Validation- Applicants must upload necessary documents for verification throughout the counselling procedure. The list of important documents consist of:
- Mark sheets for Grade 10th and Grade 12th
- AILET 2025 Admit Card
- Character certificate from the most recently attended institution
- Category certification (if relevant)
- Certificate of disability (if relevant)
Applicants must confirm that the documents are self-attested and in the proper format (typically PDF) and size.
Step 3: Provisional Admission Confirmation- After successful registration and verification of documents, candidates included in the second merit list are required to pay the Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee: Rs. 50,000 (same for every applicant).
This fee will be deducted from the total fee due, and the remaining amount must be settled by April 30, 2025. Candidates must download the provisional admission offer letter from their AILET account and sign it to indicate their seat acceptance.
Step 4: Seat Allocation- Depending on the counselling registration, availability of seats, and category-wise merit rank, candidates will be assigned seats for their chosen programs (BA LLB, BCom LLB, or LLM). Candidates are required to confirm their seat allocation by paying the required fees and adhering to the guidelines provided by NLU Delhi.
What if Your Name is Not in the AILET 2nd Merit List 2025
If your name or admit card number is not included in the second merit list of AILET 2025, it indicates that you have not been chosen for admission in the second round of seat allotment. Nonetheless, candidates still possess several choices that has been mentioned below:
Wait for the Third or Fourth Merit List of AILET 2025: Additional merit lists might be released if seats remain unfilled. Candidates should frequently visit the NLU Delhi website or our website for updates on the third and fourth merit lists of AILET 2025 exam.
Think About Reapplying in the Upcoming Year: If you fail to obtain a seat in any of the merit lists, you might think about taking the AILET again in coming years. Understanding the reasons for not being chosen (like lower scores or rank) is crucial, and you should focus on enhancing your performance in the next attempt.
Explore Other Law Colleges: If you are unable to gain admission into NLU Delhi, think about applying to other prestigious law institutions in India that have their own entrance tests or accept AILET scores.
