Bachelor of Physiotherapy is popularly known as BPT which UG Academic Course in the field of medical science which deals with the health profession that helps people to stay fit, maintain and restore physical mobility.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a medical course of 4.5 years long. 4 years of academic session and 6 months of mandatory internship

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT): Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have passed the 12^th boards with a minimum score of 50% with PCB as the core subjects.
• Candidates need to qualify for Common Entrance Exams for admission in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program.
• Candidates must have completed 17 years at the time of admission.

The syllabus of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is divided into 8 semesters which are as follow:

SEMESTER-VIII

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT): Class Attendance

Candidates need to maintain at least 80% in every subject every year in the college to appear for the university exam in the first attempt.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT): Internal Assessment

• Internal Assessment will be evaluated on the basis of periodic test assignments, clinical presentation, etc.
• Regular Periodic examination
• There would be a min of 2 sessionals per semester.
• Candidates are required to score at least 50% marks both in theory and practical separately to be eligible for the university exam.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT): Internship 

• Candidates need to have a mandatory internship of 26 weeks (6 months) minimum in the final year of the course.
• The internship should be rotatory among the various clinical branches like General Surgery, Neurosurgery Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, etc.

Internship Pattern

• Orthopaedic wards: 1 month
• General Surgery Ward: 1 month
• Community Posting: 1 month
• General Medicine Wards: 1month
• Neurology and Neurosurgery wards: 1 month
• Physiotherapy OPD: 1 month
