BAMS Syllabus 2024 is associated with the Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) Course. It’s an Ayurvedic medical course. The BAMS syllabus is designed so that students can learn about the human body and physiology in depth. The course involves a wide range of subjects related to Ayurveda.
The BAMS programme is long enough lasting five and a half years. BAMS is only offered as an undergraduate course. This medical course is divided into 5 professional years: 1st Professional Year(1 year), 2nd Professional Year (1 year), 3rd Professional Year (1 year), 4th Professional Year (1½ years), and 5th Professional Year (1-year mandatory internship). BAMS 2024 Syllabus
Every college offering BAMS courses follows the same BAMS 2024 syllabus. The BAMS Syllabus is prescribed by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). The BAMS Syllabus 2024 not only covers cures for diseases and ailments, but it also teaches about the human body’s immunity and how to reduce the frequency of ailments.
The Central Council of Indian Medicine has divided the BAMS syllabus into four parts, one for each year. In all 4 years, students are required to study five subjects each year and Sanskrit. Students who want to study Ayurveda after earning their BAMS degree are urged to pursue an MS or MD in Medicine.
BAMS Course Features
The BAMS course employs a variety of teaching methods and features in their teaching and learning process.
- The BAMS course runs for five years and six months.
- It is divided into four professional courses, according to the Central Council of Indian Medicine.
- The fourth year of the BAMS curriculum requires students to conduct Ayurvedic research.
- Along with lectures and core subjects, students are taught lab practicals to improve their understanding of the subjects.
- Aside from practicals, other teaching methodologies such as Group projects and traditional classroom-based teaching methods, Talks by guest speakers, Seminars, Internships, Practical Laboratory Sessions are included in the BAMS teaching methods.

In Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery, all universities use the same BAMS Syllabus 2024. Thus, the only difference between Ayurvedic colleges is the quality of their teaching. Padartha Vigyan & Ayurveda Itihas
This is an introductory course in Ayurveda. Students learn about fundamental concepts and their importance, the Lakshana of Ayurveda, and the main history of Ayurveda.

Rachna Sharir
