CAET 2025 Exam Date

Introduced in 2024, the combined admission entrance test (CAET) is a crucial entrance examination that admits UAE nationals, UAE residents, and international students to several degrees at IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi. Admission to IIT Abu Dhabi will be conducted through two exams: the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) 2025 and the JEE Advanced Exam.

The CAET 2025 will take place in June 2025 in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and other locations. In 2024, the first exam was conducted on June 23, 2024, and IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi campus admited the first batch of undergraduate (UG) students in August/September 2024.

CAET 2025 Application Form

Like all the entrance exams, appearing in the CAET 2025 Entrance test is the initial stage in submitting the application form. The process of filling out the CAET 2025 Application form is completely conducted in online mode at the official website at admissions.abudhabi.iitd.ac.in, As per last year’s pattern, the Application form for the IITB Abu Dhabi campus will be released in the month of May 2025. CAET 2025 Eligibility

As per the CUET 2025 Eligibilty, International students (Foreign Nationals, other than UAE and Indian Nationals) can also apply for the CAET Exam. Apart from this, students can check other crucial requirements discussed in the table below.

Performance in Grade 12 (or equivalent)	A minimum of 75% overall marks in Class XII (or equivalent) Board exam. Aggregate marks based on scores in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and one additional subject OR Must be in the top 20 percentile in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. However, if your Grade 12 results are awaited, you can still apply. Please note that the marksheet must be presented at the time of selection.
Score in EmSAT/SAT	EmSAT Score in Mathematics: Minimum 1150/2000 OR SAT Score in Mathematics: Minimum 700/800
Appearance in Grade 12	candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either the current year or 2 years immediately preceding (i.e., for admission to the program in 2024, the candidate should have appeared for Class XII exams for the first time in 2022, 2023 or 2024) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Age limit	Candidate must be less than 25 years of age, on the date of admission*
Earlier admission at IITs	A candidate should NOT have been admitted to any IIT earlier, irrespective of whether or not the candidate continued in the program OR accepted and then vacated an IIT seat.
Number of Attempts	A candidate can appear in CAET and/or JEE Advanced a maximum of two times (in total).

Language Proficiency

Language Proficiency is one of the most crucial eligibility requirements for the CAET Exam. Check out the points mentioned below.

Minimum proficiency in English as per the below requirement. The test must be taken within the last 2 years from any certified provider.

IELTS	Overall score of 5.5 in IELTS academic

Candidates who have completed K-12 education in an English-medium institution and have met all the criteria but do not have a valid English language proficiency test score yet, may be conditionally admitted to the program with the requirement to submit evidence of minimum English Language proficiency score as stated in the table above within the first semester to confirm the admission.
Candidates who have completed all their schooling (K-12) in an English medium institution in English-speaking countries (e.g. UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand) might be allowed admission into the undergraduate program without demonstrating a TOEFL score of 500 (or equivalent).

IIT Abu Dhabi CAET 2025 Exam Pattern

The Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET 2025) will be administered using pen and paper. The language of the CAET will be English. The test will consist of three 90-minute question papers on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the following times: Physics (8:30-10:00 AM), Chemistry (11:30 AM-1:00 PM), and Mathematics (2:30-4:00 PM).
