The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has announced the results of the Common Admission Test 2024. CAT Result 2024

The CAT 2024 exam was administered by IIM Calcutta in three shifts on November 24 at over 380 Exam centers in 170 cities throughout India. This year, roughly 3.29 lakh students registered for the CAT exams, of which 2.93 lakh appeared on the exam day.

All aspirants who appeared in the exam are eagerly now checking their IIM CAT 2024 Results online along with the scorecard i.e iimcat.ac.in. The exam conducting body has already released the CAT provisional answer key along with the response sheet on December 03 and the objection window was open until the next two days. After reviewing the concerns the final answer key was released on December 17.

CAT Result: 14 Students Get 100 Percentile

IIM Calcutta has officially released the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024, In this exam 14 students achieved a perfect score of 100 percentile. How to Check CAT 2024 Results Online?

Candidates who took the Common Admission Test can see their IIM CAT 2024 results which will be available online on the official website. Students can check the CAT result and obtain the scorecard pdf by following the instructions outlined below.

Step 1: Go to the official website of IIM CAT.
Step 2: Click on the IIM CAT Result 2024 scorecard link, activated on the website’s homepage.

Step 3: Log in using the User ID and Password displayed as shown in the image below.
Step 4: The CAT scorecard 2024 with your earned percentile scores will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Download and take a hard copy of the CAT Result 2024 PDF for future reference.

How does Normalization work in CAT 2024 Result?

As previously stated, the CAT exam is administered in three slots, and due to the uniqueness of the questions on each test form, one may be significantly more difficult than another. The normalization procedure is used to ensure that no applicant has an advantage or disadvantage due to varying difficulty levels, the examination authority uses a CAT normalization technique in which all candidates’ raw CAT scores are evaluated on the same scale. Normalization takes into account several parameters, including:

Highest scores
Lowest scores.
Top ten percentiles
Lowest ten percentiles
Mean score.

CAT 2024 Result Stats

The authority has released the complete statistics via the press release mentioning the total number of students who appeared, total registration, and other crucial details. Check the statistics below.

Out of the 3.29 lakh registered eligible candidates, 1.19 lakh were female, 2.10 lakh were male and 14 were transgender candidates. Of the 2.93 lakh appeared candidates, 1.07 lakh were female, 1.86
lakh were male and 9* were transgender candidates.
Of the 3.29 lakhs registered eligible candidates, the category-wise breakup is as follows: General –
67.53%, EWS – 4.80%, NC-OBC – 16.91%, SC – 8.51%, ST – 2.25%, PwD (across categories) –
0.44%. Of the 2.93 lakh appeared candidates, General – 67.20%, EWS – 5.09%, NC-OBC – 17.5%,
SC – 8.08%, ST – 2.12%, PwD (across categories) – 0.41%.
A total of 14 candidates scored 100%, with one being a female candidate. 29 candidates got 99.99 percentile, with 2 females, and 30 candidates achieved 99.98 percentile, with one female.

CAT 2024 Results – What’s Next?

After the CAT result 2024 are announced, the IIMs and other business schools will begin the PI shortlisting process for MBA admission. It is crucial to note that each IIM has its own criterion for selecting candidates for the interview stage, which may differ from that of other institutes. The selection procedure may include elements such as the Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interviews (PI).
