The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the CLAT First Seat Allotment List 2024 on the designated schedule of 23rd December 2023. CLAT First Seat Allotment List 2024
The CLAT First Seat Allotment List 2024 has been made available for all the National Law Universities on the official website of the CNLUs. The CLAT 2024 Counselling registration took place from December 11, 2023, until December 20, 2023. Candidates’ indicated admission preferences and merit ranks on the Common Law Admission Test 2024 will determine whether candidates get seats in the first allotment or not. There are 4616 seats available for CLAT 2024, of which 3,243 are for the 5-year LLB program and 1,373 are for the 3-year LLB program.
The CLAT 2024 first seat allotment list has been released on the scheduled date of 26 December 2023. Students whose admit card number has featured in the exam can now proceed for the admission by getting in touch with the respective NLU. The fee payment option will remain open up to 2 January 2024. After the first round of seat allotment process, the CNLUs will release the CLAT second seat allotment list 2024 on 8 January 2024 against the vacant seats available after the first round.

CLAT Seat Allotment Process 2024
Seats will be allocated to candidates during CLAT 2024 based on their ranks and preferences. Applicants will be able to participate in the CLAT 2024 seat allocation procedure if they successfully completed the counseling registration. Candidates can choose to accept the seats that have been allotted, choose to upgrade, or decline the seats that have been provided in each round. It’s important to remember that applicants will not be able to choose to upgrade during the final round of CLAT 2024 seat allocation. Below is the procedure for assigning seats:
- Initially, an NLU seat would be assigned by the exam authorities in accordance with the candidates’ NLU preferences and CLAT 2024 rank of the candidate.
- Once the admission fee for the relevant NLU has been paid, the candidates have the option to accept the seat and proceed with the admission process.
- Alternatively, candidates could choose to upgrade. With this choice, they can keep the seat that has already been assigned to them while also having the chance to be assigned to an NLU that is higher on their list of preferences.
- Moreover, candidates have the option to withdraw from the CLAT seat allocation procedure.
