CUET PG 2025 Exam Begins – Check NTA’s Important Exam Day Guidelines

CUET PG 2025: As per the schedule, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the fourth edition of the Common University Entrance Test-Postgraduate (CUET PG) today, March 13, 2025. Elaier NTA has released the detailed subject-wise CUET PG exam dates sheet to facilitate the smooth conduction of the whole process. As per it, the exams will be held in three shifts: Shift 1 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Shift 2 from 12:30 to 2 p.m., and Shift 3 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.  Students who are going to appear in the national-level entrance exam should minutely follow the exam day guidelines given on this page.

NTA’s Notice on Exam Day Guidelines

The NTA has released a notification with cautions and guidelines for candidates taking the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2025. The notification states that all exam centers will be under CCTV surveillance and equipped with jammers. Unfair activities, such as passing chits, will result in severe consequences, including exclusion from future exams.

Candidates must bring their Aadhaar card and CUET PG 2025 admit card for verification. If a candidate does not have an Aadhaar card, verification will be done through alternative means and recorded in the Exception Form. Candidates must report to the examination center at the time specified on their admit card. Those arriving after the gate close time will not be permitted to enter the examination center.

CUET PG 2025 Exam Highlights

The CUET PG 2025 will held for a window of 24 days starting from March 13 to April 01, 2025. As per the official figure, this year a total of 4,12,024 unique candidate registrations for CUET PG 2025. For the students who successfully submitted their application before the last date, the board has released the CUET PG Admit cards via the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG.

The 2025 edition of the Common University Entrance test for postgraduate admission has underway multiple crucial changes, which aspirants must refer to before going to the exam center.

  • The CUET PG 2025 exam will be administered online as a computer-based test (CBT) at the designated exam centers
  • Candidates will receive four marks for accurate answers and one mark for wrong responses. Unanswered questions will not receive a mark. To improve scores and avoid penalties, candidates should carefully answer each question.
  • Candidates will be given 90 minutes to solve 75 multiple-choice questions.
  • The CUET 2025 exam was previously scheduled for 2 hours (120 minutes), but was cut to 1 hour 45 minutes (105 minutes) last year. The CUET PG 2025 exam now lasts 1.5 hours (90 minutes).
  • The number of questions stays at 75, which is based on the only domain-specific subject, No Section A is included.
  • The total number of CUET PG 2025 exam centres in India has been reduced to 285. In 2025, there will be 27 international CUET PG exam centers, including three new locations in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Oslo (Norway), and Frankfurt/Berlin (Germany).

CUET PG 2025 Exam Day Guidelines

  • On the exam day, candidates must present their CUET PG 2025 admit card as well as a valid ID. Candidates who do not bring their CUET PG 2025 hall ticket will not be permitted to enter the examination hall.
  • Carry the since it is your ticket to the exam hall. Make sure the CUET PG Exam Admit Card is clearly printed on A4-size paper (preferably in colour) and includes your photo and signature.
  • Arrive at the exam centre at least an hour before the time specified on your admit card to allow for security checks and familiarisation with the exam atmosphere.
     

     

  • You should visit the Examination Centre, in advance and familiarize yourself with the location and means of reaching the venue of the Test on time.
  • On the day of the Examination, please reach the venue of the Test at the Reporting Time mentioned in the Admit Card. If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of the Centre, you will not be allowed to enter the Test venue. Instructions have been issued for strict compliance.
  • Several pre-examination formalities need to be completed and therefore please arrive on time.
    You should carry with you only the following items:
  • Personal transparent water bottle,
  • A simple transparent Ball Point Pen
  • Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
  • Additional passport-size photograph for pasting on the Attendance Sheet
  • Original valid ID proof
  • Before reaching the Centre, candidates must enter the required details, paste the Photograph, and put a thumb impression at the appropriate place on the Admit Card. They should ensure that their Left-Hand Thumb Impression is clear and not smudged.
  • Candidate must carry “Any one of the original and valid Photo Identification Proof issued by the Government” – PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ E-Aadhaar/ Ration Card/ Aadhaar Enrolment No. with Photo. All other ID/Photocopies of IDs even if attested/scanned photo of IDs in the mobile phone will NOT be considered valid ID Proof.

     

  • Candidates are NOT allowed to carry any other personal belongings including electronic devices, or mobile phones to the Examination Centre. Examination Officials will not be responsible for the safekeeping of personal belongings and there will be no facility.

     

  • Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination Hall/Room. Candidates must write their name and Roll Number at the top of each of the sheet(s) and must hand over the sheet/s to the invigilator without fail, before leaving the Examination Hall/Room. Failure to do so may result in a non-evaluation of your answers.

     

  • No Candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices. All the Examination Centres are under surveillance of CCTV and equipped with Jammers. Any unfair practice including passing of chits will be dealt with punitive stringent action including
    debarment in future exams of NTA.
  • The candidate should ensure that the Question Paper available on the computer screen is as per his/her opted subject/medium indicated in the Admit Card. In case, the subject/medium of the Question Paper is other than his/her opted subject/medium, the same may be brought to the
    notice of the Invigilator concerned.
  • The candidates are advised to carefully read the Subject-Specific Instructions and other instructions mentioned in the Question paper and abide by the same.
    If at any stage, it is found that the candidate has submitted multiple applications, his/her candidature will be cancelled and legal action will be taken including debarring in all future examinations conducted by NTA.
  • While answering the questions in the question paper, make sure to select the most appropriate, most suitable, or closest option from the given four choices.
    Candidates appearing for multiple subjects must carry separate Admit Cards for each subject to
    the examination centre.
  • Candidates are advised to keep a copy of their Admit Card for future reference.
  • Candidates are advised to check updates on NTA’s website, i.e. www.nta.ac.in, https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/ regularly. They should also check their mailbox on the registered E-mail address and SMS in their registered Mobile Number for the latest updates and information regarding the exam
