The National Testing Agency will soon release the CUET PG Exam Pattern 2025 on its official website along with the official notification. It is expected that the exam pattern of CUET PG 2025 might undergo some changes in terms of examination mode, time duration, and total questions. As per the recent announcement from UGC, there are 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in the exam. CUET PG Exam Pattern 2025
Understanding the CUET PG Exam Pattern 2025 is the initial stage for preparation for the CUET Postgraduate Exam that helps applicants grasp the structure of the entrance exam. As per the Revised CUET PG 2025 Exam Pattern, the exam will consist exclusively of domain knowledge questions. Last year, the general section/Part A of the CUET PG test was eliminated. The candidate might select a General Paper as a subject. There are only 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on the CUET PG syllabus 2025.
According to the new guidelines issued by UGC, the CUET PG exam would last 90 minutes instead of the previous 105. The exam is to be conducted once a year in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode and the medium is bilingual
These fresh regulations are focused on resolving logistical and technical concerns to provide a better test environment for students. This update was introduced to make the CUET PG exam more student-friendly. Furthermore, these improvements were implemented after receiving feedback from stakeholders, an expert group, and students. Once all stakeholders have provided feedback, the final notification will be issued. These adjustments to the guidelines were made to make the current test more appropriate for the candidates.

CUET PG Latest Exam Pattern 2025 – Key Facts
The Key components of the CUET PG New Exam Pattern 2025 are listed below
- Exam Mode: The CUET PG 2025 examination will be conducted online (CBT).
- Question Type: There will be multiple-choice type questions.
- Duration: The examination will now last for 90 minutes
- Number of Questions: Each paper will contain a total of 75 questions.
- General Paper: There would be no General Test for each paper. As a Subject, candidates may select a General paper. The comprehension portion of these papers will be in either English or Hindi, depending on the candidate’s preference.
- Domain Subjects: The CUET PG exam will exclusively include domain knowledge questions.
- Marking Scheme: Four points will be awarded for each correction response.
- Negative Marking: For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
- Medium of Question Paper:
- All questions on the question papers, except the languages and Acharya, shall be considered final in their English version.
- Language papers will be in the relevant language, except Linguistics, which will be in English.
- M.Tech/Higher Sciences will be offered solely in English.
- Shiksha Shastri and Shiksha Acharya’s papers will be in Sanskrit only.
- Humanities, sciences, and general papers will be bilingual (English and Hindi).

CUET PG Total Marks
According to the CUET PG 2025 new exam format, each question paper will feature 75 MCQs. From now on, the general section/Part A of the CUET PG test has been abolished. Only 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) about the Domain knowledge for which the candidate has applied will be asked. Each CUET PG exam question is worth 4 marks. The total number of marks available for the CUET PG 2025 exam is 300 for all 75 MCQs.
CUET PG 2025 Marking Scheme
Candidates taking the CUET PG exam should be conversant with the CUET PG 2025 marking scheme. Each question in the CUET PG exam is worth 4 marks, according to the CUET PG Exam Pattern.
