A total of 13.48 lakh students appeared for the exam. The NTA released the provisional answer key for (CUET)-UG 2024 on July 7 and announced that it will conduct a retest for CUET UG applicants between July 15 and 19 if any student grievances concerning the exam’s conduct are proven to be valid.

According to NTA sources, one of the reasons for the retest is the distribution of question papers in languages other than those chosen by the candidates, with the 1000-odd candidates dispersed throughout six states.
