Education Ministry on CUET Reduced Syllabus
Speculation of reduction of the CUET Syllabus came after Changes in NCERT Textbooks which are followed by all CBSE-affiliated schools. While Giving an Interview, Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar said the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG is not based on the CBSE syllabus. “The syllabus is based on a general understanding of the subject at the class 12 level and therefore the test examines the students of different boards at equal footing.
According to the Ministry of Education, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG is not based on the CBSE syllabus but on a general understanding of several class 12 subjects.
In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar said The test examines students of different boards on equal footing, “CUET will be administered for admission to central universities beginning in the academic year 2022-23 in order to reduce the burden on students, universities, and the entire education system.”
The Minister also denied that there was any plan to abolish all school boards and acknowledge only one from which children might take class 12 examinations before taking the CUET.

CUET Reduced Syllabus 2024
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the Updated UG syllabus for the Common University Entrance Test on its official website soon. The CUET syllabus is based on a general understanding of the subject at the 12th-grade level. According to an advisory committee member, the syllabi for domain and language subjects would most likely be based on the rationalized syllabus.
In an effort to lessen the load on students, colleges, and the educational system as a whole, CUET will be administered for admission to central institutions beginning in the academic year 2022–2023. As far as the number of applicants goes, the CUET-UG is the second-largest entrance exam in the nation.

Syllabus for the Common University Entrance Test
NTA will administer CUET 2024 in a computer-based manner from May 15 to May 31, 2024. Before beginning any exam preparation, applicants must be familiar with the curriculum as well as the whole, exact exam pattern in order to devise a strategy that will ensure a good exam result. The CUET syllabus 2024 is divided into three sections: language, domain subject, and general test.
