CUET 2025 Twice Admission Policy

Candidates can now take admission two times a year in selected central universities (mentioned above) through CUET UG scores. The first admission cycle will occur in in July/August while the second admission cycle will occur in January/February. This policy will allow universities that accept CUET to have the flexibility to decide on admissions depending on the available faculty and infrastructure.

Previously, students were accepted in a single intake – July/August for undergraduate programs. This policy will assist candidates who missed admissions in the July/August session and will prevent the loss of an entire academic year. CUET UG 2025 is scheduled for May/June 2025, with results being announced in the final week of July 2025.

Benefits of CUET Twice Admission Policy 2025

The concept of admission twice admission in one academic year is prevalent in foreign universities situated in UK, USA, etc. The two admission cycle introduced by the UGC in certain universities through CUET scores is a pilot project. Some of the key benefits of the CUET twice admission policy are:

  • Two Admission Periods: Universities can enroll students during two times: once in July-August and again in January-February. This provides students with additional opportunities to access college.
  • Utilization of CUET Scores: CUET-UG exam scores will be applicable for both admission periods. This implies that students can utilize their scores to seek admission in either session.
  • Voluntary Involvement: Although the UGC urges universities to implement this policy, it is not compulsory. Every university can determine whether to provide one or both admission cycles depending on their resources.
  • Improved Planning for Universities: The UGC thinks that implementing two admission cycles will assist universities in planning more effectively and utilizing their resources more efficiently over the year.
  • Advantages for Students: This policy supports students who might miss the initial admission cycle because of delayed board results or personal circumstances. It provides them with an additional opportunity to apply, maintaining their motivation.
  • Applies to All Programs: The updated admission system will be applicable for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs, providing students with additional choices for advanced education.
