CUET UG 2025 Exam Latest Changes

- Computer-Based Test (CBT) Format: The examination will now take place in a computer-based format, transitioning from the former hybrid style.

- Language Paper Merging: Rather than individual exams for 33 languages, only 13 will be available – Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
- Domain-Specific Subject Cutback: The count of domain-specific subjects has decreased from 29 to 23, with Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, and Engineering Graphics taken off the list.
- Standardized Exam Duration: Each subject exam will now feature a consistent duration of 60 minutes, with the same number of questions. Optional questions have been eliminated, rendering all questions mandatory.
The CUET UG 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in May 2025. Last year the CUET exam was conducted on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and 29, with a re-exam held on July 19, 2024. A total of 13,47,820 unique candidates registered for the exam, among which 11,13,610 candidates participated. This year also around 15 lakh students are expected to register for the exam.
