- Exam in CBT format: The CUET 2025 will be held exclusively in online mode.
- Limited subjects: Candidates can choose up to 5 subjects in CUET UG 2025, compared to 6 the previous year.
- Ability to select any subject: Candidates have the freedom to choose any subject in CUET without regard to their class 12 subjects.
- Exam duration: The duration for the CUET exam will be adjusted to 60 minutes for every subject.
- Fewer Test Subjects: The total number of subjects has been decreased to 37 from 63, typically relying on the General Aptitude Test (GAT).
- Mandatory to answer all questions: In the 2025 CUET exam, students must respond to all questions, in contrast to last year where optional questions were available.
- CUET 2025 Domain Subjects: Students can now take exams for just 23 domain subjects in CUET 2025. These include: Accountancy, Agriculture, Anthropology, Art Education Sculpture, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics/Business Economics, Environmental Studies, Geography, History, Home Science, Knowledge Tradition- Practices in India, Mass Media/Mass Communication, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, and Sociology
- CUET 2025 Language Courses: Concerning the 13 languages (English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu). For all other languages, including international ones (20 according to CUET-UG 2024), admissions into these language programs will be determined by the results of the General Aptitude Test.
- Removed Domain Subjects in CUET 2025: The subsequent domain-specific subjects will be excluded from the CUET 2025, namely: Entrepreneurship, Teaching Skills, Fashion Education, Tourism Studies, Legal Education, and Engineering Design will be terminated. Admissions for these programs will be based on the results of the General Aptitude Test.
