CUET UG Postponed 2024 for All Delhi Centers on 15 May, Know Reasons

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the CUET UG Exam in the Delhi Center. NTA published an official notice about CUET Postponement 2024 at around 10 pm on May 14th, 2024. CUET Postponed 2024

The official NTA notice stated – “It is being announced to all associated candidates and stakeholders that the test papers of Chemistry -306, Biology – 304, English – 101, and General Test – 501, which were previously scheduled for 15 May 2024 have been postponed for candidates appearing in Centres across Delhi only due to unavoidable circumstances. The examination will now be held on May 29, 2024. The revised admit cards will be issued to candidates appearing in centers throughout Delhi,”.

They also added that other exams scheduled on May 16th, 17th, and 18th in Delhi will be held as per the schedule. No change in the date and time will happen for the next CUET UG exam dates.

This CUET UG postponed news broke out just a few hours before the exam. The exams were scheduled to start at 10 am on May 15th in the capital city before the notice came. Students should not panic, their CUET UG admit cards will be distributed timely.

CUET UG Postponed to 15 May in Delhi: What about other test centers?

No change in CUET UG 2024 exam dates will apply to other cities like Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Noida, as well as abroad.

NTA also advised students with a new notice on Tuesday to download the CUET UG admit card 2024 on May 14, so if any changes apply to their centers due to any administrative reason they will be well informed before one night.

Why CUET UG Postponed 2024?

The National Testing Agency has clarified the exact reason why the exams were put off in the capital. They said the Common University Entrance Test 2024 scheduled for May 15, 2024, has been put back for Delhi center only for some unavoidable reasons.

An NTA Official said that the reason for the delay is manpower issues caused by the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. “CUET UG is held on a large scale, and we have chosen several exam centers and deployed invigilators for this process. However, due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, we were unable to secure an adequate number of invigilators in Delhi exam centers for the May 15 exam. CUET Postponed 2024 for Delhi Centers: Exam Timings

The CUET Exam was scheduled to take place from May 15th to 24th earlier in Delhi centers. This national-level entrance exam is also scheduled to be conducted in 26 cities outside the country.

The exam is held for a total of 63 papers. Candidates will get 45 minutes for a few subjects and 1 hour for other specific subjects. The CUET UG exam is conducted in 4 shifts –

All the exams between the 15th to 18th are on pen paper mode paper and the exam on the 24th of May will be conducted online mode.
