CUSAT CAT 2025 Exam

The Cochin University of Science and Technology in Kochi organizes an CUSAT Common Admission Test (CUSAT CAT) to admit students to its undergraduate and especially BTech programs once a year. They administered the CUSAT Lateral entry test (CUSAT LET) for admission to the third semester of BTech programs. the CUSAT Department admission test (CUSAT DAT) is also held for admission to graduate programs. The CAT exam will cover physics, chemistry, and mathematics or biology.

CUSAT CAT 2025 Exam Date

The CUSAT CAT 2025 exam date is May 10 to 12, 2025. To plan an effective CUSAT exam preparation approach, candidates should review the CUSAT CAT syllabus, previous year questions, and exam format. A total of 225 questions are asked in the exam. Each question will carry 3 marks, with one-third (1/3) being negative. We will update the any changes to exam dates for the CUSAT CAT exam in future.

Cusat CAT 2025 Registration

The CUSAT CAT 2025 registration will remain available from January 17 to February 16, 2025. We advise you to fill the form in January and start the preparation early.

Cusat CAT 2025 Fees

To complete the application form, candidates must pay the CUSAT CAT application fee of

• General Category – INR 1200
• Kerala SC/ST – INR 600.

Cusat CAT 2025 Eligibility

Candidates should review the CUSAT CAT eligibility requirements before completing the application form.

Eligibility for the B.Tech

Qualification (Marks): Students must have taken the Kerala state class 10+2 exam or equivalent with PCM subjects as optional subjects, with at least 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in PCM.
Reservation: Applicants from Kerala’s ST/SC category are also eligible to apply. SEBC students from Kerala who belong to the non-creamy layer would be eligible for a 5% reduction in the minimum mark requirement.

Eligibility for Marine Engineering

Qualification (Marks): Secured a 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12 or equivalent from the Kerala Board or another recognised board. The qualifying examination covered Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. A minimum of 50% in English in either Class 10 or Class 12 (applies to all divisions).
IMU CET: Candidates must also pass the CET (Common Entrance Test) administered by Indian Maritime University (IMU).
Certificates: Candidates must also present physical and eye fitness certificates. The certificate must be received from medical examiners and approved by DG Shipping.

Eligibility for Polymer Science and Engineering

Educational Qualification: Passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other equivalent test with a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board. Achieved a 50% in Mathematics.

Eligibility for Naval Architecture and Ship Building

Educational Qualification (Marks): Scored 60% or higher in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics on the Class 12 examination or equivalent from the Kerala Board or any recognized board. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, in addition to the other disciplines required for the qualifying exams, should be mandatory. You must get a 50% in Mathematics. Must have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined.

Eligibility for Instrumentation & Technology

Qualification (Marks): Obtained a 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together in the qualifying test. Achieved 55% in Mathematics.

Eligibility For MBA Courses

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% in aggregate.
Reservation: Applicants from the Kerala Scheduled Caste and Kerala Scheduled Tribe communities will also be eligible for admission. SEBC students from Kerala state belonging to the non-creamy layer would be eligible for a 5% concession in  the minimum marks.
