The Hidayatullah National Law University Raipur offers different courses at the bachelor’s, master’s and PhD level. HNLU provides both a standard LLM curriculum and an integrated BA LLB (Hons) program. In addition, the university provides a Law PhD program. The HNLU Raipur offers LLM in 3 different specializations which are LLM in Corporate Law, LLM in Intellectual Property Rights Law, and LLM in Technology and Law.

HNLU Raipur Admission Process

Candidates who want to take admission into HNLU Raipur must know its admission process. The admission process for different programs vary. The details of the admission process for the different courses available at HNLU Raipur is given below.

For BA LLB (Hons) and LLM Programs

Candidates willing to apply for the BA LLB (Hons), a five year integrated law program, will have to take the CLAT exam to take part in the admission process. For the LLM course, students will have to take CLAT PG test. After clearing the required CLAT cut off, candidates will be able to take part in the further admission process. In other words, admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at HNLU Raipur will take place through the CLAT UG and CLAT PG respectively.

For PhD Course

Admission to the PhD course will take place on the basis of the entrance exam conducted by HNLU Raipur. The admission to the PhD program at HNLU Raipur will take place in two stages.

Stage I: Entrance Test (100 Marks)

Candidates have to appear for an All-India Ph.D. Entrance Test which shall be for a duration of 2.5 hours. The entrance test shall comprise of 2 components: Component 01 – Research Aptitude Test – 50 Marks. The candidate needs to score a minimum of 50 % of marks in each component to qualify in the Ph.D. Entrance Test. Candidates who have qualified for UGC NET (Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)/ lectureship) or SLET, shall be exempted from the Entrance Test.

Stage II: Personal Interview

Shortlisted candidates including UGC NET (Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)/ lectureship) or SLET qualified candidates will be required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation followed by an Interview before the Committee.
