The evening shift paper of the JEE Main 2025 April session was a bit more difficult than the January 2025 session, with an overall difficulty level similar to the morning shift of that session.
Nonetheless, it was considerably more challenging than the previous year’s JEE Main.
In terms of subjects, Chemistry was the hardest, with Mathematics and Physics following next.
The Chemistry section varied from moderate to difficult, as the questions lacked consistent patterns and featured several assertion and reason-type questions.
Furthermore, the exam included a higher percentage of Class 12 questions in comparison to Class 11.
Although Chemistry was generally harder than Mathematics and Physics, the latter two subjects included tricky questions, rendering the overall exam quite difficult for students.
