The bridge is made of steel and concrete and features three main spans of 450 meters each, with the central span being the longest at 550 meters. The bridge is designed to withstand the strong winds and high velocity currents of the Brahmaputra River, and it is also able to withstand earthquakes up to magnitude 8.5.

The Dhola Sadiya Bridge is an important infrastructure project for India as it provides a direct link between the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, improving transportation and economic development in the region. It is also a strategic project as it will improve the connectivity in the region and also provide easy access to the border areas with China.

The bridge also features a two-lane service road for maintenance and emergency use, as well as a 3-meter-wide footpath for pedestrians. It is also equipped with modern traffic control systems, including CCTV cameras and automatic incident detection systems.

The construction of the bridge was a challenging task as it is located in a remote and inaccessible area, with difficult weather conditions. The construction was carried out by the Navayuga Engineering Company, a leading infrastructure development company in India, in partnership with the Indian government.
