The MAT Syllabus 2025 has been recently revised by AIMA. The syllabus for MAT 2025 is designed to test MBA aspirants’ analytical skills, logical aptitude, English comprehension, and general awareness. The Management Aptitude Test, or MAT is conducted four times a year: February, May, August, and December. All these exams are based on the common syllabus prescribed by the conducting body All India Management Association (AIMA). MAT Syllabus 2025

The MAT Syllabus has been amended and updated as per the latest requirements. Economics and Business Studies has replaced the Indian and Global Environment subject in MAT updated syllabus. Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning are the rest of the four sections of the exam.

The MAT 2025 Question Paper, which follows the updated format, consists of 150 questions that must be answered in 120 minutes. Each section consists of 30 questions. Earlier, the MAT used to have 200 questions with 40 questions in each of the sections.

MAT Syllabus Highlights

The MAT syllabus is similar to other MBA entrance exam syllabi and includes five subjects – Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, and Economic and Business Environment.

The subjects covered in the syllabus of MAT 2025 are consistent across all three formats: IBT, PBT, and CBT. Each part of the MAT exam contains the same amount of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). MAT Mathematical Skills Syllabus 2025

The MAT Syllabus for Mathematical Skills in 2025 includes a range of topics from different areas of mathematics such as arithmetic, geometry, algebra, and more. There will be 30 multiple-choice questions in this section, accounting for 20% of the total score. It is also given a 25% importance in the overall percentile calculation.

MAT Syllabus 2025 for Language Comprehension

The MAT 2025 exam’s Language Comprehension syllabus comprises passages, grammar, and vocabulary. The MAT Reading Comprehension passages are brief and straightforward to read. The questions are mostly achievable as well. In contrast to CAT or XAT, the verbal ability questions outnumber the RC questions in this section of MAT.

The questions are not very challenging. The passages in MAT RC are less challenging compared to those in CAT. Around 10-12 out of the 30 questions in this part will focus on RC. Candidates need to concentrate on vocabulary and grammar in order to achieve a high score in this part. The questions in MAT Language Comprehension will be in multiple-choice format. This part includes the most difficult questions. In the MAT Intelligence and Critical Reasoning syllabus, 20% of the weightage is allotted to this section, implying that you will encounter 30 MCQs specifically from this area. MAT Syllabus for Data Analysis & Sufficiency

MAT Data Analysis & Sufficiency questions are derived from information presented in texts, tables, graphs, charts, and Venn diagrams. This section is designed to assess candidates’ ability to analyze provided data and respond to questions accordingly. 40 multiple-choice questions related to Data Analysis & Sufficiency will be included in the MAT exam syllabus.

Data Analysis & Sufficiency in MAT Syllabus accounts for 20% of the syllabus content and contributes 25% to the final percentile calculation. In addition, half of the total section is made up of Data Interpretation, while the remaining questions come from Data Comparison and sufficiency.
