MBBS IN ABROAD: Eligibility Criteria

Any Indian student who wants to pursue an MBBS abroad must meet the requirements listed below to be eligible by NMC.

Age

The candidate must be 17 years old or older on December 31st of the admission year.

Academic

The candidate must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board with an overall grade point average of 50% in PCB subjects. The aggregate score for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) is 40%.

Qualifying Exam

It may also be necessary for candidates to take an English proficiency exam to demonstrate their command of the language. Candidates can take TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or OET depending on the university’s English language requirements.

NEET Eligibility

The candidate must have passed the NEET UG exam and possess a valid NEET scorecard. In March 2019, the Medical Council of India (MCI) issued an order requiring all Indian students wishing to study MBBS abroad to take the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Medical Certificate

At the time of admission, the candidate must provide a medical certificate. The certificate must state that he or she is not infected with any contagious diseases. Any Medical university or college of foreign country requires a set of documents to be submitted with the application to grant admission.
