Effects of NEET MDS 2024 Cutoff Change on Vacant Seat

This change is consistent with the Dental Council of India norms and is expected to alleviate the issue of vacant seats in MDS programs across the country. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has been instructed to announce the updated results, and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will take appropriate action based on the new cut-offs.

Factors Affecting NEET MDS Cutoff 2024

The NEET MDS cutoff 2024 is generally predefined. If insufficient candidates participate in the counselling procedure, NBE may reduce the cutoff percentile of NEET MDS with DCI’s approval. However, each year’s NEET MDS cutoff marks vary due to dynamic circumstances. Some of the criteria are given below –

  1. The percentage cutoff for NEET MDS
  2. Total number of seats available.
  3. The difficulty level of the examination
  4. Number of candidates that appeared for the exam
  5. Number of candidates who pass the NEET MDS examination (as per NEET MDS revised cutoff percentile)

NEET MDS Counselling 2024

Only candidates who meet the NEET MDS cutoff 2024 will be eligible to attend the NEET MDS 2024 counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counselling for MDS courses based on a merit list.
