As per the latest Notification regarding the NEET PG 2024 exam, the NEET PG exam date has been revised to 11 August, 2024, for the academic year 2024. MBBS doctors who will complete their mandatory internships on or before August 15 can apply for the NEET PG 2024 exam. The NEET PG examination is a gateway to pursuing higher education (post-graduate degree) in medicine at some of the most prestigious medical colleges in India. As per the latest official notification, the NEET PG 2024 exam will be conducted on August 11, 2024. Earlier, the NEET PG 2024 exam was slated for 3rd March 2024. Along with this, the NBE has also suspended the official notification released on 9 November 2023 regarding the conduct of the NEET PG 2024 exam on March 3, 2024. NBEMS NEET PG 2024

The NBEMS NEET PG 2024 exam date has been officially announced by NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences). According to the latest announcement by the NBEMS, the NEET PG 2024 exam will now be conducted on August 11, 2024 (on Sunday). Earlier it was slated for 3 March. The application process for the NEET PG 2024 exam is expected to begin anytime soon.

NEET PG 2024 NBEMS – Overview

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate), also known as NEET PG, is an entrance test that is administered nationally in India for postgraduate medical programs, including the MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and PG Diploma programs. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has postponed the NEET PG 2024 Exam Date via an official notice dated 9th January 2024. According to the latest notification the new NEET PG 2024 will be held on August 11, 2024.

• The previously announced with a notice that the NEET PG 2024 exam date was 3rd March 2024. However, now the board canceled its November 9 notice, which stated the old exam date.
• According to the latest Notice -“…the NEET-PG 2024 examination, which was previously scheduled to take place on March 3, 2024, has been rescheduled.” The NEET-PG 2024 exam will now be held on August 11, 2024,”

• Additionally, the launch of NeXT (National exit test) has been postponed by a year. It is now tentatively scheduled for 2025. According to the Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023, the current NEET PG exam will go on until the expected NeXT becomes active for PG admissions in 2025.

Why is NEET PG 2024 Postponed to August 11?

The NEET PG 2024 Exam has been postponed from March 3, 2024, to August 11, 2024. However, the NBEMS authority has not stated any proper reason behind it. They just said that they are canceling the Previous NEET PG Exam Schedule Notice. Students can read the full official notice from below image.

NBEMS Exam Calendar 2024

The NBEMS exam calendar for 2024 has been announced. As per the exam calendar, on February 18, 2023, FET 2023 will take place; on February and March 2024, NBEMS Diploma Practical Examination – Dec 2023; on February and March 2024, Foreign Dental Screening Test (MDS Degree and PG Diploma) 2023; and on March and April 2024, FNB Exit Examination 2023.

April 2024 will see the DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examinations on April 24, 25, 26, and 27. The Formative Assessment Test 2023 will take place on June 9, 2024, the DNB-Post Diploma CET 2024 on May 19, 2024, and the NBEMS Diploma Final Examination – June 2024 on June 13, 14, and 15, 2024. NEET PG Registration 2024

Registration for NEET PG will be available at nbe.edu.in, once NBE activates the link. According to the revised notice, the NEET PG exam 2024 will be held on 11 August, 2024. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) stated in that official release that the NEET PG 2024 date is provisional.

1. Candidates must pay the application fee online using a debit or credit card or net banking.
2. NEET 2024 application fees are Rs.4250/- for general/OBC candidates and Rs.3250/- for reserved category candidates.
3. Candidates must print the payment receipt after making a successful payment.

NEET PG 2024 Application Form

The application form for the NEET 2024 exam will be released soon by the NBE. Based on the previous year’s trends, the NBE was expected to release the NEET PG application form 2024 on the official website, nbe.edu.in, in January. However, the NEET PG 2024 registration will now begin in March.

Once released, applicants will be able to fill out the form in online mode only. The application form will be made available on the official website of the NBE. The entire application process will take place online and applicants will have to pay the requisite fee (in online mode) for the final submission of the application form.

NEET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification – To be eligible for NEET PG 2024, one must have a qualified MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS pass certificate from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
2. Internship: Only those who complete the one-year mandatory rotator internship by August 2024 will be eligible to take the exam the following year.
3. NEET PG attempt limit – NBE has set no limit on the number of attempts permitted for NEET PG.
4. Certificate: A valid registration certificate given by the Medical Council of India (MCI), NMC, or any State Medical Council (SMC) is also required.

Eligibility for Foreign Medical Graduates

• Nationality: Eligible candidates will be Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
• Registration Certificate: After receiving the FMGE Pass Certificate, all foreign medical graduates have to register with the MCI/ SMC. To confirm their eligibility, such candidates must submit a copy of their Registration Certificate.
• Internship: To be eligible, all foreign medical graduates must finish their internship by August 11th, 2024.
• FMGE Pass Certificate: Candidates who want to take the NEET PG and have completed their primary medical education outside of India must first pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).

Check the instruction below before Uploading a scanned image of your photograph, signature, and left thumb impression.

1. A photograph of the candidate that is at least 35 mm x 45 mm in size and has at least 75% coverage of the candidate’s face and head.
2. The photo needs to be free of lines, staining, and cracks.
3. At the bottom of the photo, there is a caption with the aspirant’s name and the date of the photograph.
4. The photo needs to be printed on premium paper with a resolution of at least 600 dpi, and it should have been taken against a white or very light-colored background.
5. Avoid photos with a reflection or shadow on the face and red eyes.
