The Union Health Ministry postponed the NEET PG 2024 exams. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (Postgraduate) was scheduled for June 23, 2024. This decision was made to protect students’ interests and the integrity of the test process, New NEET PG Exam dates 2024 will be announced as soon as possible, the ministry stated. 

The NEET PG Entrance Exam is administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in Medical Sciences. Almost 2 lakh MBBS graduates take the PG exam annually. NEET PG Postponed 2024

The NEET PG Postponed 2024 Notice was published on 22nd June, late Saturday night. NBE is responsible for conducting this advanced medical exam. There are some suspicions of irregularities in the administration of the exams.

NEET PG 2024 Cancelled Why?

According to senior officials earlier this week, the testing board was confident in proceeding with the NEET-UG exam. The organization (NTA) has also issued a NEET UG exam day alert for Friday. In another alert issued the same day, the testing organization stated that persons were deceiving students online by claiming to have questions for the NEET PG 2024 entrance exam.

The Board of Examinations has filed a police report against such crooks and their accomplices. The warning stated that NBEMS officials discovered fraudulent attempts to fool NEET PG candidates by claiming to give PG questions for a high fee. Download the NEET PG Schedule 2024 here. Health Ministry in Action

According to the health ministry’s statement on 22nd June, “Taking into consideration, the recent incidents of allegations regarding the honesty of certain competitive examinations, the Ministry of Health has decided to undertake a thorough assessment of the processes of NEET PG 2024 Entrance Examination”.

Effect of NEET PG 2024 Postponement on Candidates

Many people along with the candidates have expressed regret with the ‘NEET PG Postponed 2024’ news. Dr. Manish Jangra, chief advisor and founder of the Federation of All India Medical Association, stated that the NEET PG Cancellation notification arrived late after students had already booked their travel and accommodations.

Furthermore, a delay in the PG entrance exam may leave many students with further problems such as they will be unable to accept a job because they would not know when the exam will take place. They have not sure when they will be permitted to continue their education.

NEET PG 2024 Exam Postponed: Other Updates

  • The NEET PG Exam is not being administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). As we know the NEET-UG issue is still going on. Allegations of irregularities with the NEET 2024 exam appeared when an unusually large number of candidates received full marks on the test.
  • The National Testing Agency was also in charge of the UGC-NET test. This entrance exam was canceled a day later owing to a paper leak.
  • NTA said earlier that students from six centers had received grace marks. Later the commission advised a re-test for around 1,500 students at these centres.
  • There were also suspicions of NEET paper leaks in Bihar and Gujarat states.
  • Following this, the Opposition parties demanded that the full NEET UG 2024 examination must be postponed. Opposition leaders have stated on social networking platforms that – “Given the allegations surrounding the conduct of NEET-UG exams, I urge the government to postpone NEET-PG scheduled on June 23rd.”
