In order to demonstrate their eligibility for the test, students must provide the necessary documentation.
NEET Code 2 ( NEET Code For Droppers 2025)
The NEET code 2 is for dropper candidates, i.e., candidates who have passed their class 12th in the previous year. Candidates may choose code 2 if they have successfully completed 12 years of coursework through Higher/Secondary examinations or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), which is comparable to Class 10+2. The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) stipulates that English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, Mathematics, or any other option must be taken as major subjects during the final two years of study.
Candidates may also apply under NEET qualification code 2 if they have completed their 10+2 coursework from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or a state open school, as a private candidate from state boards, and if they have taken biology or biotechnology as an additional subject.
Who else should choose NEET Code 2: It should be mentioned that droppers will use the same qualifying examination code for NEET 2025. For example, if a candidate wants to sit for the NEET 2025 exam but has completed the qualifying exam from CBSE/ICSE or any state board in 2024 or before, they can apply using Code 2.
NEET Code 3
The NEET Code 3 is for PUC candidates, for example, candidates who have passed the PUC examination. Medical candidates must select code 3 if they have passed their Intermediate/Pre-Examination degree in the Science stream from any accredited Indian university, board, or other organization with required subjects being physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English. There should be a practical test in the aforementioned subjects as part of the qualifying examination.
NEET Code 4
A student enrolled in a pre-professional/pre-medical program at a science or medical college should use the NEET code 4. After passing the Higher Secondary test, Pre-university exam, or an equivalent exam, and after completing the pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, one can select this code. It should be mandatory for the pre-professional or pre-medical examination qualification to include practical exams in every subject.
