As per the Supreme Court’s directive, the National Testing Agency released the Final NEET Revised Result 2024 on July 25.  The revised scorecards of the NEET UG Final Result 2024 have been uploaded on the official website of NTA i.e exams.nta.ac.in/NEET or neet.ntaonline.in. Students who appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test held on May 5 can download their neet 2024 revised score card using their Application number and Date of Birth. The National Testing Agency has released the revised NEET UG Result 2024 once again. The decision to issue NEET Revised Result 2024 follows the Supreme Court’s final verdict on the NEET UG exam controversy. Furthermore, based on the IIT Delhi analysis of the contentious Physics question 17, the Supreme Court has approved option 4 as the correct option. Based on the findings of this investigation, the NEET 2024 results will be changed as this changes the rank list of over 4 lakh candidates, including 44 NEET UG 2024 toppers who were awarded grace marks for the question. The updated merit list will have an impact on 44 exam toppers, since their rankings may drop by 88 positions.

Following the ruling, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised the Supreme Court’s decision not to cancel the NEET UG exams, stating that the truth will always prevail. Know the simple procedure for downloading the revised score card neet 2024 online.

Step 1: Visit the official website for the NTA NEET i.e neet.ntaonline.in,
Step 2: On the homepage click on the link that mentions “click here for neet 2024 revised score card!”
Step 3: On the NEET candidate login page, enter your application number, date of birth, email address, and security pin.

NEET Revised Result 2024 Based on Supreme Court Judgment

According to the Supreme Court Final judgment, the National Testing Agency shall revise the NEET UG merit list based on the response proposed by an expert panel of IIT Delhi on the controversial NEET UG Physics question-answer choice.

According to reports, four lakh students, including 44 high scorers, chose the incorrect answer to the disputed question. As a result, each of these students will lose five marks. The Court ruled that there could only be one valid response and asked the National Testing Agency (NTA) to release a new NEET 2024 Revised Scorecard based on that answer markings

On the amended merit list. only candidates who marked the correct answer as suggested by the committee will receive four marks. According to data available, almost 4 lakh students who answered the question as per the previous NCERT textbook will lose five marks instead, resulting in a reshuffling of the ranks. After the revised final NEET UG Merit Lists are revealed, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and state counselling bodies shall begin the online counselling procedure for UG medical admissions. It must be noted that NEET Counselling 2024 will be based on the newly revised Merit list.

NEET Revised Result 2024 Merit List

The reshuffling of the results of more than 4.2 Lakh students, led to huge changes in the NEET  Merit list due to removing the grace marks given to the controversial physics questions. The NTA announced the revised NEET Results 2024 in accordance with the Supreme Court’s judgment, and the number of NEET toppers 2024 has decreased from 67 to 17.

It should be noted that in the main results announced on June 4 where 67 candidates scored a perfect 720, creating concerns. The number was eventually lowered to 61 after the NTA revoked the grace marks originally provided to them due to the lack of time.

The Supreme Court of India’s ruling on the correct answer to a specific physics question in the NEET exam, based on the expert opinion of IIT Delhi experts, reduced the number of toppers from 61 to a more respectable number — 17.

  • Over 4.20 lakh students chose the second option, which was correct according to an older version of the standard (NCERT) textbook, while 9.28 lakh students selected the fourth option, which is correct according to the new edition of the NCERT textbook.
  • Furthermore, based on IIT Delhi’s interpretation of the controversial Physics question 19, the Supreme Court has determined that option 4 is correct. Candidates will only receive four marks if they have indicated the right response in accordance with the committee’s recommendations.
