The National Testing Agency has just sent a message regarding the NEET UG 2025 Aadhaar Authentication to the aspirants who have not seeded their UID number at the time of registration. The NTA mentioned in the message that students are requested to update their Aadhaar details as soon as possible. Also added is that the NEET UG 2025 Aadhaar Authentication Link has been sent to the registered email addresses of the respective candidates.
What is written in the NEET UG 2025 Aadhaar Authentication Message?
The following message has been sent to those candidates who have registered themselves using a voter, PAN card, or other government IDs apart from the Aadhaar card. As the message reads:
Dear Candidate, Please check your email regarding LINK to update your authentication mode to AADHAAR for NEET (UG) 2025. Last date: 30 Apr 2025, 11:50 PM. NTA. (sent via NICSI).

NTA helpline on NEET UG 2025 Aadhaar Authentication

Possible ways for Successful NEET Aadhar Authentication
Most of the students who do not see the Aadhar number on the NEET Application form currently face two types of difficulties as follows:
- Not received the NEET 2025 Aadhar Authentication Link
A few students reported that the latest NTA NEET 2025 Aadhar Authentication link was not received in their registered email. In that case, we are advised to check the SPAM folder in your Mailbox or wait a few hours to get the NTA mail.
Apart from this, you are required to log in to your Dashboard available at the NTA NEET Official Website (https://neet.nta.nic.in/)
- Failed Massage pop-up at the time of Authentication
A huge number of students faced error messages while updating their Aadhar details on the authentication link. The possible reason for this issue is a mismatch between the name and date of birth on the Aadhar card and the NEET application form.
When we asked the NTA helpline, they suggested visiting the nearest Aadhaar correction center and rectifying the details with the proper documentation. After the correction is done, the enrollment ID will be valid for processing the NEET UG 2025 Aadhaar Authentication.

Is an Aadhaar card mandatory for NEET 2025? Yes or No. This discussion has been sparked again for the third time after the 2025 session starts, after the latest NEET Aadhaar authentication message. Let’s take a look at the series of events over last four months.
Event 1:
On the notice dated 14 January National Testing Agency (NTA) has requested all National-Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 candidates to update their Aadhaar credentials and ensure that their Aadhaar is linked to a valid mobile number for OTP-based verification during the application process to make examination procedure seamlessly.
It also mentioned that DoE has said that APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) integration wiht NEET-UG 2025 is mandatory.
Event 2:
On January 24, 2025, the NTA announced that APAAR ID is not required for the NEET UG 2025. A public announcement issued on January 14 confirmed that the APAAR ID is not required for NEET UG 2025 registration. Applicants can still register for the exam via various methods such as using Voter card, pan card and other documents.
Event 3:
On April 29, 2025, Just 5 days left for the NEET exam date, NTA has sent an alert to the students to make their NEET UG 2025 Aadhaar Authentication process complete by April 30.
