NEET Vacant Seats 2024, Check State Wise MBBS and BDS Vacant Seats PDF

The Medical Counselling Committee is now conducting admissions against the NEET vacant seats 2024 for round 2. The number of vacant seats available for the MBBS and BDS program help students guess about the cutoff rank and competition level in the next round of admissions. The MCC released the NEET UG round 2 final seat allotment result 2024 on September 20, 2024 but before that, the authority had released the NEET Vacant Seats 2024 for round 2.

MCC has published the seat availability or seat distribution for the second round of NEET 2024 counseling. 614 additional seats have been included in this stage. There are a total of 11,345 clear vacancies and 6,947 virtual vacancies. 453 candidates have had their nationalities changed from Indian to NRI in this stage.

NEET Vacant Seats 2024

The seat matrix for the NEET 2024 counselling process has been officially announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). During the second round of counseling, MCC has increased the number of seats for MBBS/BDS by 614. 600 seats have been introduced in Telangana colleges, with an additional 7 seats each in medical/dental colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. NEET UG Vacant Seats 2024

According to the seat allotment result for round 2, a total of 11,170 candidates have been newly assigned seats. Alternatively, 1,211 candidates have seen an improvement in their positions during the second round of NEET counseling in 2024. A combined total of 33,890 candidates have taken part in the initial two rounds of counseling.

There are a grand total of 26,582 seats spread out among different institutions. ESIC Medical College and PGIMER Bengaluru and Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Center have notified the counselling committee about the reduction in available seats. 7 MBBS seats and all BSc Nursing seats from PGIMER Bengaluru and ESIC-MC have been eliminated.

NEET Vacant Seats Overview 2024

The overview of the NEET UG 2024 vacant seats has been shared hereunder.

  • The number of medical seats for undergraduate students rose from 51,348 in 2014 to 1,08,990 for the academic year, showing a 112% increase in UG seats.
  • The number of postgraduate seats has increased by 127%. There are 70,645 PG positions as opposed to 31,185 in 2013-14.
  • Admission to AIIMS and JIPMER is now also carried out via NEET followed by MCC counselling. The seat distribution for NEET 2024 consists of 2196 MBBS seats across 21 AIIMS colleges.

UP NEET Vacant Seats 2024

There are 1,945 seats vacant for MBBS course in medical colleges of the Uttar Pradesh State, whereas 746 seats of BDS course are vacant. In such a situation, a total of 2,691 seats of MBBS and BDS seats are vacant. The second phase admission process is going on.

The process of filling online options for preferred seats also started from Monday and will continue till September 26. The result of seat allotment will be released on September 28 and till October 5, candidates will be able to take admission in their allotted college. Instructions have been issued by Director General, Medical Education, Kinjal Singh, that after filling the choices of preferred seats, the seats must be locked online.

UP NEET UG Round 2 Vacant Seats 2024

The candidate can fill as many options as he wants for the college and seat of his choice. The Directorate General of Medical Education has not set any limit for this. The candidate will be allotted a seat as per his/her merit and choice. Once the seat allotment option is locked, no changes will be made in it. Those candidates who were allotted seats in the first counseling but now want to upgrade their seats in the second counselling, should fill their options with utmost care.
