The NID Design Aptitude Test NID DAT is administered by the National Institute of Design to applicants seeking admission to the B.Des and M.Des programmes at NID campuses and other result-sharing institutions. the regular registration period for the NID DAT came to an end. Candidates who were unable to submit their NID DAT application by the deadline may still do so by paying a late fee by December 25.

The last date for filling out the NID DAT 2023 Application form is December 22, 2022. According to recent updates, the National Institute of Design (NID) has extended the deadline for completing the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) application form for admission to BDes and MDes programs. Previously, the deadline for NID DAT applications was 16 December 2022.

NID DAT Exam 2023

The National Institute of Design (NID) is a design school in Ahmedabad, India. The institute is overseen as an independent organisation by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

Every year, the National Institute of Design (NID) holds the NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) for admission to its B.Des and M.Des programmes. The Design Aptitude Test is a two-stage selection process in which candidates must first pass the DAT Prelims Test and those who pass the Prelims Test advance to the DAT Mains Test.

The DAT Mains consists primarily of a Studio Test. Candidates must appear and pass both exams in order to be admitted to various BDes and MDes courses offered by National Designing Institutes in Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam. Candidates seeking admission to NID’s M.Des course, on the other hand, must also appear for the personal interview round.

NID DAT 2023 Exam date

The NID DAT 2023 exam is divided into two parts: the preliminary exam and the main exam. Candidates must take the NID DAT prelims in order to be admitted. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will be eligible to take the DAT Main exam. The NID DAT 2023 preliminary exam for BDes and MDes courses is set to take place on January 8, 2023. DAT Prelims Admit Cards will be available on January 2, 2023.

NID DAT 2023- Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the age limit, educational qualifications, and the NID-accepted qualifying exam to be eligible for the NID DAT 2023. Only those who meet the eligibility requirements should apply for the entrance exam. The NID eligibility criteria are explained in the table below.

Step 1: Visit the official website of NID  at admissions.nid.edu.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Admissions’ link under the ‘Quick Links’ tab on the homepage.
Step 3: Click “Signup” on the new page.
Step 4: Select the course you’re applying for; B.Des or M.Des, your category, and nationality in the new page that appears.
Step 5: Fill in your basic information on the registration form, choose a password and submit the form.
Step 6: Re-enter your email, date of birth, and password into the portal.
Step 7: Fill out the application form completely.
Step 8: Upload supporting documentation and pay the application fee online.
Step 9: Download the NID DAT 2023 Application Form and save the confirmation page for future use.
