NIMCET Counseling 2024 Registration Last Date

The NIMCET Counselling 2024 Registration Last Date is already provided by the NIT authority. Students can register themselves till July 5, 5 PM. The National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test was held on 8th June. The exam-conducting Board published the NIMCET 2024 results on 25th June. What is NIMCET 2024?

The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is a national-level exam administered by NITs for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program. The question paper comprised 120 multiple-choice.

The paper is divided into three parts: Part I: Mathematics (50 questions), 70 minutes is given to solve. Part II is Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning (40 questions), a total of 30 minutes allotted to answer this part, and Part III: Computer Awareness (20 questions) and English (10), 20 minutes is provided for this section.

Students can enroll in the MCA program at nine NITs for 2024-25 based on their NIMCET 2024 rank. The participating NITs are – Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), and Warangal.

NIMCET Registration Fees 2024

Candidates from reserved categories (ST/SC/OBC) must pay Rs 1,250. Those from general categories must pay Rs 2,500 for NIMCET counseling 2024.

Documents Required for NIMCET 2024 Counselling

During NIMCET counseling, candidates must bring the original copies of the following documents, together with self-attested photocopies, for verification when reporting to the designated institute.

  • NIMCET 2024 admit card (issued before the exam)
  • NIMCET 2024 Rank Card (issued along with the result)
  • Date of Birth Proof i.e. 10th marksheet
  • 10th & 12th marksheet and passing certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Category certificate
  • 4 Recent passport size photograph of the candidate

What after NIMCET Counseling?

  • After the NIMCET counseling the candidates will be allocated institutions based on their filled-out selections and their NIMCET 2024 rankings.
  • There are a total of four rounds for the NIMCET seat allocation.
  • Candidates must bring their original documents/certificates to the designated institutions for counseling verification.
  • If an applicant is assigned a seat based on their college preferences, they must report to the designated institution within a specified time duration.
  • Candidates must obtain a seat NIMCET allotment letter from the official website.

Can any candidates give up their seats?

Candidates who wish to participate in a second round of counseling of NIMCET 2024 and they are not interested in advancing with the designated institution must give up their seats by submitting the required application.

Seats will be awarded to candidates based on their rank and filled preferences. Should an applicant receive a seat based on their specified choices, they will be required to report to the designated institution within the specified time frame.
