The NMAT exam is scheduled to occur between November 5 and December 20. GMAC is going to conduct the NMAT exam over a span of 45 days. Prospective candidates seeking admission to MBA programs at prestigious business schools in either India or abroad have the opportunity to attempt the NMAT exam a total of three times within the given testing period.

GMAC has stopped allowing candidates to schedule a date for the NMAT exam. The NMAT exam registration closed ahead of schedule. All candidates had the option to select their desired examination date and venue through the NMAT reservation platform.

What is NMAT Exam?

NMAT, also known as NMAT by GMAC, is a nationwide entrance exam held for MBA admissions at NMIMS University and other prestigious B-Schools in India and overseas. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies used to conduct NMAT before GMAC assumed control. NMAT was created with the test-taker’s ease of use as a priority. During the NMAT scheduling option, candidates are able to select their preferred exam date and venue within the exam window.

NMAT is similar to GMAT in that test-takers can select their desired date within a testing period and schedule their test, time, location, and appointment based on seat availability at their preferred test center. The NMAT, a nationwide entrance exam, is held every year on certain days within a set testing period. The NMAT by GMAC score is determined by how well candidates perform in three categories: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning.

NMAT 2024 Exam Date

The NMAT 2024 exam will be held on several days. The authority has released the exam period for this year. In 2024, the NMAT exam will be held for 45 days as opposed to the 70 days exam window used earlier by the GMAC for the NMAT exam. The NMAT exam 2024 will be conducted from November 05, 2024 to December 20, 2024. Registered candidates will be able to appear for this MBA exam three times during the exam window period of 45 days.

NMAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The exam governing body has established the eligibility requirements for NMAT 2024 as listed below. Candidates must meet eligibility criteria prior to registering for NMAT.

• Applicants must have successfully finished their undergraduate studies in either the 10+2+3 or four-year education model, regardless of their field of study.
• Achieved a minimum of 50 percent overall in their final year of college.
• Applicants who are waiting for their results or in their last year of college can also participate in NMAT 2024. Entrance is allowed provisionally until the graduation mark sheet and certificate of the qualifying exam are provided.

Candidates are required to review the eligibility requirements of NMAT-participating colleges separately prior to signing up for the test. When applying for admission, candidates must choose five institutes they prefer, each with its own specific criteria for eligibility.

NMAT Registration 2024

Filling out the NMAT 2024 application form marks the initial stage of the admission process and the registration process is the first step in filling the application form. NMAT 2024 admit cards are only given to candidates who submit the application form and schedule the exam. Candidates must generate a login ID and password in order to complete the online registration process for NMAT. Applicants are required to pay a sum of INR 3,000 (excluding GST) for the application fee and scheduling of the exam slot.

Payment for the fee can be made through online channels like Debit Card, Master Card, Mobile wallet, and other methods. Following the registration for NMAT, students can use their account to reschedule the test. Candidates must request to reschedule the NMAT 2024 test within 72 hours from the test date and schedule by applying for the NMAT exam rescheduling option. The process of rescheduling NMAT can also be done using the candidate dashboard. The fee for taking the test again is INR 3,000, while the fee for changing the test date is INR 1,200.

NMAT 2024 Registration Last Date

The NMAT 2024 registration process has been concluded by the GMAC. The NMAT exam registration for 2024 began on August 01, 2024. The application form was made in online mode on the official website. The NMAT exam registration last date 2024 was extended two times until October 13, 2024. This day was the deadline to register for the exam and pay the application fee before submitting their NMAT 2024 application form.

NMAT Scheduling 2024

The NMAT scheduling or the NMAT slot booking process is done by the candidate to choose their exam date and test city. GMAC administers NMAT during a specific time frame. Candidates can move forward to arrange the exam after they have submitted the application form. Candidates must choose a date and test city through the exam scheduling window in order to take the exam.

Candidates who don’t schedule the NMAT exam will not be able to take the exam. Exam schedules can be accessed through the NMAT login dashboard. The NMAT scheduling process has been concluded which was active from August 01 to October 17, 2024. However, the NMAT rescheduling process is currently active for taking the exam again and will remain so until December 17, 2024.

Difference Between NMAT Scheduling and NMAT Registration

NMAT registration and scheduling are two separate exam occurrences. Aspirants for NMAT must first complete a one-time registration before entering key personal information during the registration process. In the registration process, candidates must select the college they want to receive their scores, any other MBA exam they took, etc. Conversely, NMAT scheduling allows choosing the exam date, city, and slot preference. NMAT slot booking is another name for the NMAT exam scheduling window.

NMAT Admit Card 2024

Once the NMAT 2024 application process is done and the application fee is paid by the candidates, they must schedule their desired exam slot. The NMAT admit card can be downloaded one week prior to the exam date. The NMAT 2024 admit card can be downloaded until the day of the exam. Candidates are required to obtain a new admit card for each attempt of the NMAT 2024 examination.

NMAT Selection Process

The NMAT selection process consists of three steps: Written test (NMAT exam), Group Discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI). The succeeding phase of the NMAT selection process involves the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI) round organized by the participating institutes.

The institute participating in the process may opt for a Writing Ability Test or Case Discussion round in place of the usual Group Discussion round. The ultimate decision for admission is determined by performance in both the NMAT online test and GD-PI round.
