UCEED 2025

The UCEED 2025 application process has begun for the eligible candidates. The conducting authority, i.e., IIT Bombay has issued all the official dates regarding the UCEED exam for 2025. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can fill up the UCEED form. IIT Bombay administers the UCEED exam annually for candidates who want to enroll in the B.Des program at IITs and other design institutes. The UCEED 2025 application fee is INR 4000.

What is UCEED?

UCEED stands for Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design. IIT Bombay administers the UCEED for admission to the BDes program at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur. Admission is granted based on UCEED scores via a Joint Seat Allotment Process organized by IIT Bombay. Candidates who receive a UCEED merit rank are qualified to take part in the seat allocation or counseling procedure. It should be noted that certain institutes also utilize UCEED scores for admissions.

The result-sharing institutes, in contrast to participating colleges, will not be involved in the Joint Seat Allotment process. In addition, institutes that share results will only occupy a portion of the seats available according to UCEED scores. UCEED 2025 Application Form

The UCEED 2025 application form was released on October 1, 2024. The UCEED application form 2025 process consists of online registration, filling up the application form, uploading the documents and paying the application fees.  Applicants who fulfill the specified eligibility requirements for the B.Des program can submit their application before the deadline.

It is important to note that the candidate has the option to apply for UCEED 2025 either with the regular fees or the late fees. The fee for applying late is INR 500. Make sure to only provide accurate and trustworthy information when completing the form. This is due to the fact that exam officials will check all the information during counseling and seat allocation. If a deviation is detected, the candidate could be eliminated.

UCEED Application Steps 2025

To register and successfully apply for the UCEED exam this year, candidates need to complete the following major steps.

Register online – Just click the registration link provided in the article below. You will be directed to a form for registration. Input required for completion includes a valid email address and cellular phone number. Upon completion of the registration process, a new account will be generated for the applicant.

Complete the form – The application document will include categories such as personal, academic, and contact information. Complete all the categories. You must also choose THREE preferred exam locations in order of importance.

Submit documents – The applicant needs to submit documents such as a image, signature, proof of date of birth, and certificates for qualifying exams in the designated form.

Submit the application fee through online payment method. The OPEN category applicants are required to pay an application fee of INR 4000, while reserved category candidates have to pay INR 2000.

UCEED 2025 Registration

The UCEED 2025 registration process began on October 01, 2024 in online mode. The Indian Institute of Bombay (IIT Bombay) activated the UCEED 2025 registration link on its official website. The registration process is the first step of the UCEED application process 2025. Candidates must have a valid email id and mobile number while registering for the UCEED exam as all the communications in future including the login details will be shared on the same.

UCEED 2025 Registration Last Date

The UCEED 2025 registration process will remain active only up to a limited time period. The UCEED 2025 registration last date is October 31, 2024. This is the deadline to register and submit the UCEED application form. Candidates can also register for the UCEED exam and submit their application form in the extended period with a late fee of Rs.500. With late fees, candidates can register and submit UCEED 2025 form till 5 PM on November 08, 2024.

UCEED 2025 Registration Fees

IIT Bombay has increased the UCEED registration fees a little bit this year. The registration fees for both the unreserved and reserved categories has been increased by 100. The UCEED registration fees 2025 is Rs.4000 for the general candidates (male only). The registration fees for UCEED exam is Rs.2000 for the reserved candidates and females from all categories. The late fee of Rs.500 is same for all the candidates irrespective of their category.

UCEED 2025 Exam Date

IIT Bombay has announced the official exam date for the UCEED 2025 exam. The UCEED 2025 exam will be held on January 19, 2025. The UCEED 2025 examination will consist of two parts. Part A, which is offline, will consist of 57 questions (NAT, MSQ, and MCQ formats); the time limit for Part A will be 2 hours.

At the same time, Part B will consist of a 1-hour exam with two questions – one based on sketching and the other on design aptitude. Note: Part B answer booklets will only be assessed if the candidate achieves the UCEED cut-off 2025 for Part A.

UCEED 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria needed to take the exam are outlined in the official UCEED 2025 brochure published by IIT Bombay. Candidates have the option to review the eligibility criteria provided.

Educational Requirements:

• Candidate must have successfully completed Class XII in all subjects to be eligible to take the UCEED exam in 2025.
• Candidates must have completed their Class 10+2 in 2024 or be taking the qualifying exam for the first time in 2025.
• Students from all STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts/Humanities) are eligible to apply for UCEED.

Age Requirements:

The candidate must be born after October 1, 2000 for OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category or after October 1, 1995 for SC, ST or PwD category. It is to be noted that candidates born on the above mentioned dates are also eligible to apply.

Number of Attempts:

• UCEED can only be attempted twice, and those attempts have to be made in order, that is, candidates appearing for UCEED 2025 exam for the first time can appear for UCEED 2026 exam only and not beyond that, even if the candidate does not take the 2026 exam.
• The UCEED score is only good for admissions in the same academic year and has a one-year validity period.

Candidates who took their qualifying exam for the first time in 2023 or before are not eligible.

UCEED Reservation Criteria 2025

The UCEED exam also follows the reservation criteria laid out by the Government of India (GoI) just like any other competitive exams. The table below shows the category-wise reservation requirements for the B.Des course at participating colleges.

UCEED 2025 Exam Pattern

IIT Bombay announces the UCEED 2025 exam pattern in its official notification. After the exam is made available, students can review its format. Candidates can also look at the general exam pattern for the previous year of UCEED in the meantime.

• There will be a single question paper lasting for a total of three hours.
• The exam will only be available in English.
• The total marks for the question paper will be 300.
• The exam paper will be divided into two sections: Part-A and Part-B. Attempting questions from both sections is mandatory.
• Different types of questions include Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

The UCEED exam is split into two sections, namely A and B. In accordance with the official exam format of UCEED 2025, Part B will consist of TWO questions: one on Drawing and the other on Design aptitude. Paper B will last for a total of 60 minutes. The questions in Section B will be shown on the screen and the response must be written/drawn in the designated answer booklet given by the invigilator.

Additionally, Part B will only be assessed if the candidate meets the requirements of Part A. The detailed pattern of UCEED exam in 2025 is tabulated herein.

UCEED 2025 Syllabus

IIT Bombay has released the UCEED syllabus 2025 along with the information brochure. UCEED 2025 syllabus is similar to last year and no changes has been introduced to UCEED syllabus this year. It is crucial to have a thorough list of subjects from which questions are derived in order to pass the UCEED 2025 exam. Hence, candidates must review the UCEED exam 2025 syllabus in advance and plan their preparation strategy accordingly.

UCEED Syllabus 2025 Part A

The syllabus for the UCEED 2025 Part A paper is given below.

• Visualization and spatial reasoning: Ability to visualize and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships.
• Practical and scientific knowledge: Know-how of scientific principles and everyday objects.
• Observation and design sensitivity: The capacity to detect concealed properties in daily life and think critically about them. Attention to detail, classification, analysis, inference, and prediction.
• Environment and society: General awareness of environmental, social, and cultural connections with design.
• Analytical and logical reasoning: Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
• Language: Proficiency in reading and comprehending Standard English.
• Creativity: Grasp of verbal and non-verbal analogies, metaphors, signs, and symbols.

UCEED Syllabus 2025 Part B

The UCEED Part B exam paper will have questions from the following topics.

• Drawing: Ability to draw products, people, or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.
• Design aptitude: Capability to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.

UCEED Seat Matrix 2025

There are a total of 6 institutes taking part in UCEED 2025 exam. All of these schools provide the B.Des program, with selection being determined by UCEED 2025 rankings. In order to qualify for enrollment, the applicant must achieve a ranking in the UCEED 2025 test. IIT Bombay will organize a Joint Seat Allotment process (or counseling) for selected candidates. UCEED Answer Key 2025

The answer key for UCEED 2025 will be available on uceed.iitb.ac.in by IIT Bombay. The key to the answers, in addition to the response sheet, will be provided 2-3 days post-exam. In the beginning, the organization releases a temporary answer key, giving applicants the opportunity to dispute any answers they disagree with. Once the challenge window has ended, IIT Bombay will provide the final answer key and the results.

UCEED Result 2025

The UCEED 2025 results will be made available by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay on candidates’ portal as downloadable scorecards. Those who appeared for the UCEED exam are able to access their scorecards by using their login details. The UCEED scorecard remains valid for a year, requiring students to enroll in the same year.
