UP NEET Counselling 2024: Round 2 Registration Begins, Check Important Dates, Security Money

The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) is conducting the UP NEET Counselling 2024 for on August 20, 2024. Currently, the UP DMET is holding the round 2 counselling process. The registration for the second round of UP NEET 2024 counseling commenced on September 9, 2024.  Applicants must enroll on the official site, upneet.gov.in, and complete the application form to join the UP seat allocation process.

UP NEET Counselling 2024

The last date for UP NEET Counselling 2024 registration for Round 2 is September 13, 2024.  They can submit their application and security money at the official site, and later the students will be called for document verification and choice filling process.

UP NEET Counselling 2024 Overview

The UP NEET counselling 2024 process is divided into three parts. The UP NEET 2024 third round will be an open round (mop up). The seats that remain unfilled following the second round of counselling will be carried forward to the 3rd mop-up round.

It should be mentioned that UP NEET 2024 counselling is being held for the allotment of 85% of seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET 2024 counselling for the remaining 15% of All India Quota seats. Qualifying for NEET 2024 with the minimum cut-off is an essential requirement for counselling.

UP NEET 2024 Counselling Registration Process

All candidates for the UP NEET 2024 Counselling Registration Process must register themselves on the official website – upneet.gov.in. For successful registration, a fee of INR 2,000 must be paid. The registration fee can be paid by credit card, debit card, or net banking. Candidates can only register once for UP NEET counselling. Candidates who enrolled for the first round do not need to register again for the second round.

It is vital to remember that admission to MBBS/BDS courses given by Uttar Pradesh medical institutes is solely based on the scores obtained in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test. UP NEET Counselling Security Money

Candidates must pay UP NEET Counselling security money, In is a refundable security deposit, after completing the registration process. The amount of security money also differs for medical and dental courses.  Candidates can refer to the table given below for information on the security money –

• This security deposit must be paid in the form of a Demand Draft made payable to the “Director General, Medical Education & Training, U.P.” in Lucknow.
• The security money differs for the candidates who wish to participate in private or government colleges.

UP NEET UG 2024 Choice Filling and Locking Process

After NEET document verification, candidates must select the selected colleges in order of preference. The following is a step-by-step guidance to the option UP NEET UG 2024 filling and locking process.

Step 1: Login – Use the NEET roll number and password. An OTP will be provided to the candidates’ registered mobile numbers.
Step 2: Filling Out Your Choices: A list of colleges will appear on the screen. The candidate must select the desired colleges in the order of preference. Applicants should thoroughly research the colleges and their cost structures. A candidate must save their selections after deciding on their top institutions to move forward.
Step 3: Seat allotment list: Once the selections are made, DMET evaluates all of the applications and creates a UP NEET merit list or seat allotment list for the chosen candidates.
Step 4: Reporting to the Institution: Those who wish to continue with the seat assigned to them in the UP NEET 2024 counselling must report to the college allotted to them. They must report to the college before the deadline and bring all required documents.

Note – The college options must be locked and submitted before the deadline. Candidates who fail to submit their final choices will not be accepted.
