West Bengal NEET Counselling 2024 Dates Out, Registration & Seat Allotment Matrix

West Bengal NEET Counselling 2024 is the centralized counselling procedure for admission to medical and dental institutes in West Bengal, giving fair and transparent counselling to aspiring candidates from the state. The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee is responsible for conducting the counselling process on behalf of the West Bengal Government’s Department of Health and Family Welfare.

West Bengal NEET Counselling 2024

The NEET counselling process of West Bengal would follow seat quotas, with 15% reserved for candidates from other states, known as the All India Quota (AIQ), and the remaining 85% reserved for individuals having West Bengal domicile. Candidates who pass the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) this year will be able to participate in the WB counselling procedure. In this whole process, 3800+ and

West Bengal  NEET counselling 2024 will be performed online in two rounds only. The third round will be held only if seats remain unfilled following the second round. After completing West Bengal NEET counselling round-wise, MCC will tentatively conduct college-level Stray/ Mopup counselling offline to fill the remaining unfilled seats (if any).

West Bengal NEET 2024 Counselling Dates

The Schedule of WB NEET Counselling 2024 will be released soon by WBMCC on its official website. As per the released dates, Students who wish to apply for the 85% state quota MBBS and BDS seats in West Bengal will be able to register online beginning August 21, 2024. Once the registration procedure is completed, the West Bengal NEET UG merit list 2024 will be announced on August 27, 2024, followed by a filling period from August 27 to 29, 2024. Students will be able to view the WB NEET UG seat allotment result 2024 for round 1 on September 2, 2024.

WB NEET UG counselling 2024 will be conducted in three rounds, including one additional round. Students will be offered the option of registering in each round of counselling. For NRI candidates, verification will take place in Swasthya Bhaban.

West Bengal MBBS Counselling Process

In the West Bengal NEET UG counselling 2024 process total of 3900 MBBS and 550 BDS seats will be filled. Seat allocation in the WBMCC NEET UG counselling will be based on the NEET 2024 results and the Quote allotment. WB NEET Counselling Registration Process

Follow the steps to register for the West Bengal NEET Counselling mentioned below.

  • Visit the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee’s official website at https://wbmcc.nic.in/.
  • Then Find the ‘UG Counselling Registrations’ link and click on it.
  • After the registration link has been opened, carefully fill out the registration form with your personal information, academic information, and other vital facts.
  • After filling out the registration form, pay for registration in the make payment section with a debit card or UPI.
  • Once you have completed the payment fee, you will have access to the ‘preview’ feature, which allows you to preview the registration and ensure that the information you supplied is correct.
  • Once you have reviewed all of the information you have provided, click on “SAVE”
  • Download Take a printout of your registration form pdf form for future reference.

Document verification

After successfully submitting the NEET counselling each round, the organizing authority will publish the list of registered candidates whose applications will be approved. Candidates whose names appear on the list must report documenting verification centres if necessary; otherwise, verification will be completed online. Documents necessary for verification include:

  • NEET UG Admit Card and Rank Card.
  • Class 10th and 12th-grade mark sheets, certificates,
  • Proof of identity (e.g. Aadhar card, passport).
  • Caste/Category Certificate (If Applicable)
  • Required documents include a domicile certificate and passport-sized photos.

Choice of filling and locking

Following the document verification process, aspirants must fill out and prioritize their college preferences for admission to West Bengal MBBS. A preliminary list of shortlisted candidates will be provided for the first round of seat allocation. The method of filling and locking is described below.

Seat Allotment under West Bengal NEET Counselling

Following the completion of provisional allotment, the authorities will allot seats to candidates for West Bengal MBBS admission. Allotments would be made based on the number of choices filled and locked during West Bengal MBBS counselling, the availability of seats, and the merit rank.

Counselling for medical and dental will be held in four stages, with each round involving conventional steps such as registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, result and document verification, and reporting to allotted colleges. If you want to upgrade your assigned seat, you can do so during the upgrade round.

Reporting at the designated college

Candidates must report to their designated college on the specified days and hours. Visit the allotment centre, pay the required admission fees, and complete the admission paperwork.  Once again, document verification will occur at the time of reporting. To complete the admission process, aspirants must present their essential documents in both original and photocopied forms to the authorities. Candidates’ candidatures for West Bengal MBBS admission would be cancelled if they failed to report to their designated college.
